You have to de-registry the hand seet first by press and hold END and # for 10 seconds, select the Id to be de-registry and say YES when the phone ask you to confirm the de-regis then start again...good luck ps. remember to charge the unit full first

Hi i have a uniden ZO68 i want to add another hand set to this i have brought another uniden ZO68 second hand hand set and i can't set it up can you help me please

did you get the charging base with the hand set
is it a charging base or a base station base
if it is just a charging base , follow the instructions as how to get the base station to recognize the next phone
if it is a base station, probably won't work as you will have 2 base stations trying to work and that will create conflicts
talk with a telephone technician to see what can be done

My base unit unit keeps flashing 8-88, and the hand sets all say searching

If there is an error code with an E followed by a number or "88" displays/flashes it would be an internal issue in the base unit. Uniden does offer a limited 1 year warranty (Covers Manufacture Defects ONLY, if caused by a power surge or power outage or any other type of damage that is not a Manufacture Defect this is not covered under warranty) off the proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is required for warranty service.

How do you register a old uniden SSE27 handset to a new Uniden SSE37 base

The following is taken directly from the SSE37 owners' manual:

Registering a handset
If you see a "not registered" message on a handset,
you must register it to a base before using it.
On the base, open the menu and select
Register Accy.
On the handset, press and hold #/DND
until the handset display says
Handset Registering (about 2 seconds).
Wait until the handset display says
Registration Complete (about 30 seconds),
then pick up the handset.
If you don't hear a dial tone or the display says
Registration Failed, charge the battery completely,
then try again.

Good luck!

I just received your Dect 6.0 from E.Bay....second-hand....I need to download the manual for it in order to use it properly.....Thanks...MC...!!!!

Which model of the Uniden DECT 6.0 phone do you have? They make several. All of the Uniden manuals are available from Uniden support and on the individual product page. If you start at, you can search for your model.

DECT phone manuals are listed here: . Then scroll through the list to your specific phone and desired language for the manual. The model number is on the base of Uniden multi-handset cordless phones. The number after the dash indicates the number of handsets that come with the base when purchased new but the manuals are identical.

To access all Uniden manuals, start at and select the type of device.

If you add the model number in a comment and I'll be glad to provide a direct link to the manual that you need. For example the Uniden DECT1060 manual is here: .

I hope this helps.

The base ringer on my Uniden TRU9480 base station rings very loud and cannot find where to either adjust or discontinue the ringer. Jackgee1

I found my owners manual and to adjust the ringer on either the Base Station or Hand Set as follows:
with the hand set in place just use the base arrow up or down to go from 0 (off) to 2 (loud) and on the hand set just use the arrows for high low or off. Just bew sure to have the hand set on the base before adjusting the ringer
