First you'll want to pull off the top and try and wiggle every connection you see to the board located in back right. An E1 is a "faulty control" message a few hundred bucks for the part I recommend you use a service company they may charge 200.00 in service and labor, but you'll get at least a ninty day warrenty. And only they can switch out electrical parts ... You'll find it much less headache in the long run.
E1 error code indicates an open thermistor or open thermistor circuit. A thermistor is a component that relays the temperature in the dryer to the control board. If the thermistor has failed, Error code E1 will be displayed.
You need to call a repair person to fix it.
The E-1 error code is a thermistor error, some problem with the variable resistance.....this can be caused by over use of fabric softener sheets, which can cause lint to become tacky and coat the thermistor, or it just simply failed. Try replacing the thermistor.
