Question about Casio EXILIM Card EX-S770 Digital Camera
I have had the camera for about 1½ yaers now. About 6 month ago I bought a new battery after the dockingstation did no longer charge the original battery, and I was unable to get any pictures from the camera on to my computer. Every time I try to switch on the USB button, it just goes back turning the red light on - as if it was charging. After a while the charge light turns green. However the photos on the camera I can not get in contact with on the computer. Is there any solution to retrieve the pictures I have on the camera through this dockingstation?
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Try shutting off your flash and see if it still does that. It sounds like you have a problem with your flash not charging correctly. You can try resetting the camera but I doubt if that will help. I would try just shutting the flash off and see if that would help.

I ended up solving this by briefly removing the memory card and the battery from the camera, then reinserting them. This seemed to re-set everything and it then all worked well!

1) plug in the cable from the camera to the Mac USB port
2) Switch on the camera
3) iPhoto should open automatically. If it does not, go to Applications/iPhoto and double click this.
4) You can choose Import in iPhoto and this will copy them into the iPhoto library.
