The videos from the tape camcorders cannot be transferred to Windows Vista Operating System as there is no USB Streaming ooption available on the Windows Vista Operating System.
The Camcorder uses the USB Streaming function to transfer the videos to the Computer.

Not all older monitors have the correct monitor.inf information for the newer operating systems. Look for a new monitor.inf file download that matches your monitor for Windows 8.

1.My pc do not detect my sony camcorder model dcr hc54e by using usb cable why?

Thank You for allowing Fixya.com the opportunity to solve you issue.

Please allow us to help you.

1. You need to install the usb driver you do this while the unit is unplugged not plugged in as you are saying its not detecting while its plugged in. Click HERE for the driver information page.

2. Only after the unit's driver's are installed, The unit fails to detect try another computer and if that does not help then you might have a issue with the camera itself.

Many cases people just connect things expecting bells and whistles and that just is not the case, that is why Fixya.com was born. Your pc only will detect certain functions of the camera not all functions will work as one would expect. This whole pc connection is to transfer the video off the camera so it can be edited. This would involve a CD that came with the camera. Do you have said CD? If so have you installed the software.

Here is some questions for you before you Vote

1. What type of computer do you have?
2. What operating system are you using?
3. Have you tried this on another machine?
4. Have you installed all the drivers?

Please reply to me with your updated replies so we can better serve you. Most technician's cannot diagnose a issue without having the full problem laid out before them. Keep in mind the solution your getting is based on the problem your present and how its presented.

When presenting a issue in the future on Fixya.com please include

1. Name brand of camera
2. type of computer using
3. Type of operating system using (Windows95,Windows98,Windows XP. Vista, Windows 7 and what bits 32 bit or 64 bit.

Tell us what you did, for example I plugged it in installed the software it did not detect.

The Quality of the problem written out will get you a non-generic answer. You will be satisfied with the solution given. A Vague or incomplete detail of the issue will get you a general Idea what might be going wrong.

We Thank You for using Fixya.com , and do hope this information is Very Helpful.

The computer doesn't detect any sound drivers.

The Motherboard you have talked about supports mostly all the operating systems. If the computer is not detecting the audio driver, most probably the drivers you have installed is not compatible with the Operating System you are using right now. As you have not told what is operating system, I'm not able to find out the proper solution for you. So, I'm giving this link, where you can download all the drivers compatible for your Operating Systems (eg. XP, Vista, Se7en, etc.). For example, if you are using Vista 32-bit, then download the corresponding driver compatible for vista (i.e. Vista x86)....otherwise the driver will never work.

Here is the link for downloading your OS compatible drivers: Download Drivers for Biostar G41-M7

Now install the driver the properly and enjoy working :)

Try it on another computer to see if it gets detected - if not then the flash drive is bad. Windows 7 should detect it.

Laptop shows only 4gb ram & 300 gb hdd

This is the limitation of a 32 bit (x86) Operating System. A 32 bit OS can detect upto 3GB RAM only.

You may either try installing the x64 Bit of XP Operating System or Vista Service Pack 1 or 2 for 32 bit Vista Operation System to resolve the issue.

After installing the SP 1 or 2 of the Vista OS in the Computer, the OS will detect 4GB RAM.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Connectmy video to my computer

Step one is to connect it. Step two (assuming you have plug and play) is to let windows find it (assumption being you have windows). Step 3 is to have the "driver" software (probably downloadable from Vrdio or perhaps it came on a disk) handy. Windows will prompt you for the driver...point to where the software is....in the cd on a diskette or on the computer...click on it...and it should install. If you got part way through this process previously then backtrack and remove all Vrdio software before you start. If Windows does not detect your camcorder....then go to Add/Remove software and follow the instruction....you may play around a bit and get lost if a newbie but it's "great" experience for the world of operating systems (trust me you will be back again). Good luck.
