-   My printer worked very well for the first 3 or 4 years. Now I'm getting red lines throughout my photos and posters. I asked for advise from epson support. They suggested that I realign using the print utility. This works for the first few printings but I find that I'm having to continuously realign. Any suggestions would be helpful as I'm about to purchase a new printer out of frustration.-   Jacquieb
One of the best possible solution that we can suggest is to run a cleaning cycle for three times. Just to make sure that cleaning is effective please try the step below:
1. Using your computer go to printer utility.
2. Click on Maintenance then select Head Cleaning. Head cleaning usually took 1 minute.
3. Once the Head Cleaning is done Print a nozzle pattern to check whether the head cleaning is effective or not.
Repeat those steps for 3 times. If the nozzle pattern after 3 cleaning cycles still bad. Reseat ink cartridge if possible replace the ink cartridges.
After all those steps and issue still present printer needs to be in service.
I have downloaded 2 files for my Epson photo 870 an epson 10062 and epson 10063 both zip files.
When I use the 10062 the red lines are much less apparent? I did do a "TEST SHEET" and by the end of the print job the red was gone?
I have read where it is the print head it self and that cleaning may work as well. I just wanted to post this to see if anyone else has tried using a different Epson driver install? to fix this red line thingy Thanx

Sometimes my Epson C48 stops printing in the middle of a printing job. It's status remains PRINTING, green light keeps on flashing but ink monitor can't detect any ink levels and printing head is in it's most right position. Cartriges have enough ink. What is wrong with my epson printer or my printing software?
