Question about Wacom Bamboo Fun USB Tablet with Cordless Pen and Mouse - Silver
My laptop and pc suddenly wont recognize my Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet. Blue light turns on then goes out as soon as it's plugged, then an error message appears. saying that the USB device that's plugged may be malfunctioning/damaged and not recognized. Probable cause might be last time I used it, the computer unit suddenly shut down when I plugged the tablet in! I suspected faulty/shorted USB port. Any other probable cause....and solution? Please help!

I have encountered this message a few times, usually if I have tried to plug'n'play the tablet. A restart with the tablet connected usually fixes it for me, but I would suggest removing the driver and software and reinstalling them, making sure you have the most up-to-date version- freely available from wacom.co.uk (though I note you have the latest versions so just reinstall those).
I think, however, your problem might be something to do with the following note from wacom: Do you know if you are running a 64-bit setup? There may be a workaround even if you are, so do let us know.

Make sure driver is installed and there is not any ? mark or yellow ! mark in device manager.
Reinstall your tablet driver then check.
Uninstall all usb driver from computer.
Connect your tablet to computer then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode.
Make sure usb cable is works fine if you connect your tablet to computer with usb cable.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Your tablet is set under the handwriting setting. Go to system preferences and select ink under hardware. Then turn off handwriting recognition.
