Question about GPX MW240 MP3 Player

3 Answers

GPX 2G mp3 player -

I managed to load 2 songs - now it's stuck on song #2 . Fwd/bck buttons don't respond. Very frustrating. When in off position the screen still displays Song 2 and title. I've tried holding down the middle button but nothing changes. If I take the battery out screen goes blank, otherwise displays song 2. Update: Now I deleted song 2, and when I take out the usb cord, the display is blank. This is a pita.

2 things I can suggest are:
1. Reset/reformat using pc/mac. For pc goto my computer (computer for Windows 7/8) Right click on the units icon and select format. In the popup menu select default for all categories. clear the check box for quick format and press start. sit back and just wait for it to finish.
2. delete songs and (re)convert them also use a lower bitrate when doing the conversion. I suggest 128 (old standard).
If neither work then I haven't a clue other than contact GPX about the problem if (still under warranty) or buy a new one.

I have a gpx mp3 player, model MW140R. I have downloaded music to it before. I erased some songs. Now my windows vista home basic does not recognize when the mp3 is plugged in. The sync botton will not...

I just recently purchased the GPX MW140R. I can load .mp3 songs to it and remove them but my problem is that when I'm selecting songs, there are times that it will come to one and get stuck and the only way for me to get out of that stuck mode is to turn it off by removing the battery. Why is it that it gets stuck on certain songs and not others when they are all .mp3 format?

Any help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Is there something that I need to update on that unit or what? Thanks again...

My mp3 player keeps skipping songs. it would only play half of the song

Your MP3 player is stuck in INTRO MODE. Play a song and hit the MODE button on the side of your MP3 player. Once you see options appear on the screen, select PLAY MODE and choose NORMAL. This should fix the problem.

Deleting songs

If this problem occurs then your ML648B needs to be formatted.

1. Connect your ML648B to your computer with Windows XP or later.
2. By default your computer will recognize ML648B as GPX MTP Device. Press the POWER button from top of your ML648B, to change it to USB mode connection. You will also see USB on the screen of ML648B.
3. ML648B will now mount 2 drives, one as Tools (as CD-Drive) and second as Removable Disk (Drive) – under My Computer on your Windows Desktop.
4. Right click your mouse and then select the Format option. When the Format Removable Disk window appears select the Start button to start formatting your MP3 player.

I cannot get windows xp media player to load anything to my GPX.

I have a gpx mw3847 and I load songs by opening up My Computer, finding my gpx mw3847 and opening it. Then I go to MY Music where I have my MP3 songs and just drag or copy the ones I want over to my Player. I don't use Windows media player to load songs no any of my players
