Hello
Detach out its battery as fas as possible. Cleaning the Laptop is a skillded work, as you have to open it , detach all the connected devices inside it, and shoul clean it , using moderate heated hot air, from a hot air blower, reset it back to, confujure it, and so on. It is really a very skilled work, and it will be best to get this system make right by the Authorised service center for HP at your town.
NB: Never insert the battery into it, till it has been cleaned. Give the battery seperately to the HP service center.

Chances are this is not repairable, especially if the laptop was on at the time and or if it fell into salt water.

Acer fell on floor flickering screen & lines across screen

It sounds like the screen broke when it fell. You'd need to get the screen repaired. Your best bet is to have someone else do it for you. Search for computer repair in your area. Sometimes places that repair broken cell phone screens can also repair laptop screens.

STEPS ON HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT MY LAPTOP THAT FELL INTO WATER

As long as you didn't try to turn it on yet AND it was NOT on when it fell in to the water there is a chance it will still work.

Pull the battery, put it in a big container and fill\cover it with rice. The rice will absorb the moisture. Leave it in there for at least 5 days straight and then try it. But just in case have a fire extinguisher ready.

This works with cell phones, maybe you'll get lucky.

I spilled water on my MacBook. Now it won't turn out

First thing is to not try powering the laptop on after the water fell on it. Next, you should remove the battery off the laptop immediately. When this is done, you should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of water on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, water damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no water seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the water fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

NOKIA 6300 FELL IN WATER AND DEAD.CAN IT BE REPAIRED?

Hello,

What to do is this,

Unscrew the phone,
Get a Methylated spirit and a brush,
Bring out the board of the phone and use the methylated spirit to brush off remaining water on phone.
Keep under heat to dry off,
After board is dried, fix it back and screw back phone.

Am sure after doing this phone will work well.
But if phone still doesn't work ,that means water has damage some component inside the phone.
You will need to consult a phone technician for assistance.
Take care.

How to fix an acer 5515 laptop after it fell in water

Disconnect from the AC adapter, remove the battery, remove the trim piece(bezel) that houses the power button, and remove the keyboard; no need to unplug the ribbon cable.

http://www.ehow.com/how_5136146_replace-acer-aspire-laptop-keyboard.html

Turn it over with the LCD lid open like to be sure there is no moisture inside; you can use a hair dryer t odry the inside (not a heat gun). You may need to remove the rubber bumpers, screws and trim around the LCD display, and do the same.

Reassemble, connect power, and try; but if its competely dry, and it does not power-on, is erratic otherwise; the motherboard is done - trash it.

My laptop hp pavilion d9000 fell in water and took some time to be worked on, now it has refused to power and the screen is not working, where could be the problem

if it fell in the water a few minutes ago.. then quickly dry it with a hair dryer. keep the dryer in a distance though.
if it is longer than a few minutes then take it as soon as posssilbe to a technician to take it apart and dry to clean the internal parts.

By all means do not turn it on.....u might fry something. Leave it in a dry hot area for like 2 says. Then you might have to take it to Apple because Mac's are very very picky about water, i spilled coke and it fried it!

Liquid poured on my laptop

Alright, the problem is obviouse, Imasuming you have turned it off.

Remove keyboard, usually you have to pop off the plastic bracket and remove a couple screws underneath or on the bottom of laptop to remove keyboard.

Soak up any water or moisture.

Leave the keyboard off for a couple of days in a dry place as well as the laptop.

Remove the battery as well.

If the laptop didnt short out when the water fell on it, then theres a good chance its alright once you dry everything out.

After 3 days or so, and you know its all dry, put back together and give it a try.

If it shorted out when the water fell on it, then the laptop is probably a gonner. You should be able to salvage the Hard drive, RAM and CD Drives.

The mother board is what would go out if water shorted it, you may be able to replace the mother board and it may work fine. It up to you if yo want to try.

Good luck.
