If it has cooled down and still goes into protect mode, it likely has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible causes, read through the following page:

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Please check impedance on speakers as they coyld be fried as well. A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you

You have a short. Check all power connections to both amps, all the way back to the battery. Then check to make sure speakers are connected properly

Not working proper

Internal issue have seen it with all of this brand amp, was not able to repair, sent in to the manufacture and they sent it back, still had same problem, recommend a different brand, kicker, rockford fosgate, pioneer, alpine, kenwood, audio bahn, I've installed some dual amps and they seem to work quite nicely

Amp went to protect mode and will not reset to green.

Be sure the rca's are not getting severly pinched or worse you drilled a screw into them.

Second make sure your connecting the RCA's to the
1. OUTPUT of the radio
2. INPUT of the amp

if you connect any other way its wrong and could damage both radio and amp especially you screw into the RCA's your sending 12 AC Volts to ground.

How can i get this amp out of protection mode?

You have a short circuit. I don`t know this particular piece of equipment but you should check all the output transistors/chips. Try disconnecting ALL the supplies to ALL the output devices and switch on, It should fire up, If it does, reconnect the positive AND negative supplies to one channel. If it still fires up, reconnect the next channel until you find the faulty channel then you could try doing comparison checks between the bad channel one of the good ones. These amps tend to use MOSFETS and are extremely intolerant to bad or loose connections. I hope this helps. You`ll probably find that you`ve got poor wiring, That will be your original fault. Ensure you make ALL connections good and sound before reconnecting the amp up with new devices in or you WILL be back at square one with no amp again. Ian

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you didn't fry speakers as well. Please check speakers impedance. A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you

REASON FOR LOSS OF POWER

If it still works then all you did was over heat some bias resistors and they probably will weaken and go bad eventually and could cause your outputs to go south also. I would get this puppy into a shop asap unless you wanna lose the amp or a good possiblilty. Good Luck
