Wireless Mouse not Working

My Wireless Mouse is simply not working. The Batteries are in correctly, it is not a connection issue with the computer. The Mouse does not have the optical laser light on when out of the charger, and I can't manage to get it to turn on. It is less than a month old with minimal use; when it was working it would also occasionally lose connection to the charger. Also, when the mouse is in the charger it takes some readjustment for the red light to come up, leading me to believe it is a circuitry issue, however I would like to see if there are any other possible options for it's failure.

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Clicking issues on logitech wireless mouse

  • 1 Use the mouse on the same side of the computer where the Logitech USB transmitter is attached so there is a clear signal between the transmitter and the mouse.
  • 2 Check the USB transmitter that comes with the Logitech mouse to be sure it is correctly plugged into the computer. The red LED should be illuminated on the transmitter if it is connected properly. If not, the signal cannot reach the wireless mouse.
  • 3 Turn the mouse upside down to check the on/off switch. Be sure it is switched on.

  • 4 Check the battery compartment by sliding the top housing off the mouse to confirm the rechargeable batteries are installed correctly.
  • 5 Charge the batteries if the mouse LED does not illuminate. The charger cord plugs into the front end of the mouse and the other end connects to a free USB port on the computer.
  • 6 Clean the desk surface or other flat area if the mouse is not tracking. The problem could be dirt or grease interfering with the tracking ability of the device.
  • 7 Open the Logitech software called SetPoint, which manages the mouse, to troubleshoot button functions. Open the program by double-clicking SetPoint from the list of software on the computer, then click "Mouse Settings." Click the "My Mouse" tab and check (or uncheck) all the task boxes that are desired for operating different mouse functions, then click "Apply" and "OK."

How do I setup a wireless mouse on a desktop

To setup a wireless mouse regardless of its type, do the following:

    1. Insert the USB transmitter (this could look like a mini plug or a stick) and wait for windows to complete installation.
    2. Once this is successful, turn on the mouse by holding down the power button. Or insert the disc that came with the mouse and run the installer. The installer will install the device drivers and setup your mouse's configuration panel which will reside in your system tray.

Make sure that the mouse has batteries and that it is switched on for it to work. It will glow red when it is switched on.

I tried to connect it to the computer and its not working i dont even know if the computer is reading the usb

Double check that the batteries are in correctly in the mouse, then make sure that the USB is in correctly. Connect the USB to your computer before startup and turn on the mouse. Turn on your computer. There should be a connect button on the usb and/or the mouse. Press both reasonably within a short period of time (5-10 seconds). They should blink and automatically connect. If this doesn't work after a couple of tries, then restart your computer and remove the batteries from the mouse, and start again from the top. If this still doesn't work then bring it back and get a new one.

Silly question for me for you -- are the batteries in correctly? Have you tested the batteries to be sure BOTH are up to 1.6 or more volts with a voltmeter? Even new unpened battery packs may be short on charge and not have enough juice within them...

If the above is not the issue, try the receiver of the wireless mouse, it may not be fully engaged.

My acer mouse model number mg-0919 stops working after about 2 minutes. I have to turn the mouse off then back on. This happens constantly. What is going on? Is it defective? My mouse is under...

I had the same problem. This mouse came with my Acer Revo which was still under warranty. Tech support basically says to check the obvious (batteries, USB connection, RF interference). Their obviously canned answer goes on to detail a manual reconnect procedure that does not apply to this model. And when all else fails, get a new mouse.
This is what Acer tech support emailed me:
If you are experiencing issues with your wireless mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless mouse.

    1) Ensure that the receiver is 8-inches from other electrical devices. Avoid placing the cordless devices on metallic surfaces.

    2) Verify that the USB connector from the receiver is properly plugged into a USB port on the computer. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to ensure that the USB port is working properly.

    3) Remove the batteries and then reinsert the batteries into the mouse, making sure that the battery polarities are correct.

    4) Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge.

    5) Try the manual connect procedure.

    Manual connect procedure:

    1) Press and release the Connect button on the receiver.

    2) Within 30 seconds, press and release the Connect button on the mouse.

If the issue persists, we can replace your computer's wireless mouse.

We will ship the new wireless mouse within 3-5 business days.

Before placing an order for wireless mouse we would like to confirm the following.

    1) Complete shipping address:

    2) email address:

    3) phone number:

In order to place an order for wireless mouse, the computer must be registered.

My mouse does not want to work , theres power but doesnt work

This is kind of hard to diagnose without more information but i can try to help you out. Has the mouse ever worked? If the mouse was working fine and just quit working then you most likly will need to change the batteries. Once you change the batteries you will have to then re-sync the mouse with the usb device the plugs into the computer. Its usually just as simply as hitting the button the the usb device (adapter that connects to the computer) and then hitting the button on the bottom of the mouse (usually on the bottom) if this is the first time you are installing the device usually u put batteries in the mouse. Then you do the same sync process above. I hope this helps
