Question about HP ScanJet 5300C Flatbed Scanner
If the scanner is plugged in and seems to have no power, then the voltage control board is likely burned out, the scanner runs on 12 volts Direct Current and so house power is converted to the DC 12 volt. Unless this is a very high end scanner fixing it is cost effective, scanner and all in one printers are so cheap it just doesn't make sense.
