Well..this suggests that your system restore point included either corrupted system interlinking files(dll) of
a deadly virus..check those both..looks like you are a candidate for a re install

How to fix error in database: microsoft office access has detected corruption in this file

System restore will not restore any data files, only system files.
Databases normally need periodic sorting as their indexes get corrupted. I don't use any microripoffsoft stuff, only Open Office and iMac. Try reindexing your file with Open Office

I have restored my system, and now Microsoft office is not there. What to do?

Hi akshay_20200,

It seems that the original "restore" does not include Office as part of the original suite of applications.

http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/computer-peripherals/notebook/others/NP-N150-JP0CHK/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification

You may have to reinstall and reactivate your own licensed copy.

However, an open-source version that's able to access/create/modify Office files (even the more recent *.docx, for example) is Open Office.

Let us know how it goes.

Hope this helps,

I have inadvertantly deleted the microsoft office word 2003 from my computer, now i can know longer get on to spread sheets, word etc....can you/I fix thisand get the program back?

Hello,

You can retrieve the program by doing a system restore. System restore will restore will restore your computer to a certain time to the past of your choice. All the programs that you have uninstalled will be retrieved. Here's the procedure.

(for windows 7 and Vista)

1. From within Windows, you can just type restore into the Start menu search box, and you'll immediately see System Restore at the top of the start menu.

2. You will immediate see a screen where you can choose to roll back the system to the last restore point. You have two options - recommended restore and choose a different restore point. Select the second choice.

3. Look for the date when you still had the MS office in your computer. Click next

4. Confirm the restoration and the computer will restart.

5. After the restart process, the computer will tell you whether the restoration is complete or not.

6. If it's not successful, repeat the same procedure but use a different restore point now. If the restoration is successful, then, check your MS office 2003.

(For Windows XP)

1. Go to START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS>SYSTEM RESTORE
2. Once the menu opens, just select a restore point and follow the onscreen instructions. The computer will restart and MS office will come back to your computer.

I hope this helps.

Excel versus professional edition 2003

Hi Richard,

take a step back, and notice that they are talking about Microsoft Office Professional 2003, and not Windows XP Professional.

If you try to open an office document, in your case a .XLS file, and it says You need to insert the setup disk, then the install of Office is corrupt, and/or there are missing files that Office cannot locate.

you could cross your fingers and see if you perform a repair on Office.
you do this from Control Panel > Add Remove Programs, Click on MS Office 2003 Professional, and click Change/Remove . when the wizard starts, click Next and choose Repair .
it may still ask for the setup disks, or to browse to the folder where the setup cache files are located.
if this is the case, and you don't have the disk, your only option is to track down someone else who has the disk, or the folder on their c:\ where office offers to save its install files for the future when it might be needed.

I suspect that you did a File Cleanup on your c:\ and either you accidentally deleted the c:\MSOCache folder (which is hidden), or the Clean Up Wizard deleted it for you.

if you know someone with a PC with office 2003, you can copy this hidden file to your flash drive, and then dump the files back onto your computer.

i hope this helps.

Alternatively, you can use Open Office, a free download , fully fledged office suite of applications. not made by microsoft, but similar enough to perform the same tasks without much hassle or relearning.

Problem opening Access Database-upgrade from Access 2003 to 2007

if the form "products" really exists, then your office 2007 security settings are not allowing to load macros. Try the following settings:-

Office 2007 has some security settings disabled by default to prevent any harm to your system.

go to trustcenter settings(click the office button at the top left of the office 2007 screen then click Access options, then select Trustcenter, then click trustcenter settings.)
In trustcenter settings, select message bar then select "Show the message bar in all applications when content is blocked" radio button.

Then from macro settings ,make sure to select "Disable all macros with notification" . Click ok twice to close the settings windows and try opening the file again.

Good Luck
