Look and see if you have a headset
icon. Sometimes things can get in the headset plug and it thinks you
are connected to a headset. If there is no headset plug, check the
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears
You are sure the mute switch (at the side above the volume buttons) is not turned on?
Also in Settings > Sounds > Change with Buttons ON?
