SOURCE: trying to pair nokia x6 with nokia BH-214

The BH-214 manual (available to download from Nokia's website) gives 0000 as the code (if you are prompted - I did this today on an X6 without being promoted for the code!).

I too have the same problem. My phone is a Nokia E61i and I upgraded the software a few weeks ago and since then the headset does not work. I can get the phone pair and recognise the headset, but I hear no sound through the headset. I have tried pair the phone and earpiece a number of times, but no luck.

from OFF state of your BH-214, press power button until LED flashes quickly,do not unhold, stay holding & press power button until LED flashes red & blue alternately slowly.On ur PC,->Add new device, then your PC would detect BH-214 as headset. I used Toshiba Bluetooth stack v7.00.10(T) driver Win7x64 (search in google to download the installer), work fine with my BH-214 to connect with PC (A2DP 1.2 (btooth audio profile) & AVRCP (player navigation control profile)) & at the same time with my phone (HFP, HandsFree profile). Applied CSR bluetooth dongle 2.0, got from store for only $2.50.

How to connect bluetooth headset Nokia BH-503 with Windows 7
I try to use bluetooth headset with my laptop(Dell Latitude E6500) but I can't find device Nokia BH-503 in my bluetooth searching windows.
Many people found this problem. How to fix it? I think this problem is human error or device manual not cover,how to use device with computer and laptop.
if you want to find your bluetooth devices when you search bluetooth devices from your computer.
- Turn off bluetooth headset.
- Start add bluetooth devices function from your computer for search bluetooth devices.
- Hold call button on Nokia BH-503 untill the light blue and red blink (not only light bule blink).
- You will see Nokia Bluetooth BH-503 in your searching window.
- select Nokia BH-503 device and click "Next" for connect the device

I am not able to pair my nokia bh-503 with my samsung galaxy ace. Please help me.
Try to put your headset in pairing mode first. Starting with it turned off, press and hold the multifunction key until the indicator light is flashing quickly in blue. Then, bring your phone and headset close to each other, and, on the phone, go to 'Menu > Settings > Wireless & network' and check the 'Bluetooth' checkbox. Then, tap 'Bluetooth settings > Scan for devices'. After a little while, your headset should appear on the bottom of the screen. Tap over it to make it pair. If a pairing code (or PIN or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros, without the quotes). If the pairing process is successful, your headset should enter the stand-by mode. It should appear in the paired devices list on your phone as connected. If you tap and hold over it and tap 'Options', you will be able to select your headset services.
By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.

I'm trying to pair the headset with a Samsung mobile phone..the mobile is using bluetooth A2DP..but i can not seem to pair the device.. When I search for the device..my mobile doesn't even pick it...
Have you put your BH-503 also in pairing modus?

If the BH-503 isn't in pairing modus no phone can find it!

Ok.. you need to do the following:
1. Turn the headset off. 2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your iPhone (it will automatically start searching for Bluetooth devices) 3. Press and keep pressing the power button on your BH-105 Nokia Headset until you hear two sounds, the first is the one that notify's you that the Headset is turned on, keep pressing and you will hear another sound (like a beep), once you hear that second sound release the power button on the headset and voilaaa... your iPhone detected the Headset...
