Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage from the battery. The calculator should work until the voltage drops well below 1.0 volts.
If you can't read the screen even after adjusting the contrast, replace the battery.

Joseph, No F00 maybe contact company. Digital Battery Charger Error Code Explanation Chart. Check the attached links,
"I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."

ERROR CODE DESCRIPTION REASON/ SOLUTION F01 The battery voltage is still under 10V (for a 12V battery) or 5V (for a 6V battery) after 2 hours of charging. Could be caused by trying to charge a 6V battery on a 12V setting or charger, or the battery could be bad, have it checked or replaced. F02 The charger cannot desulfate
the battery. The battery could not be desulfated, have it checked
or replaced. F03 The battery was unable to reach the "full charged" voltage. Could be caused by trying to charge a large battery or bank of batteries on too low of a current setting or the battery may have a shorted cell. Try again with a higher current setting or have the battery checked or replaced. F04 The connections to the battery
are reversed. The battery is connected backwards. Unplug the charger and reverse the connections to the battery. F05 The charger was unable to keep the battery fully charged in maintain mode. The battery won't hold a charge. Could be caused by a drain on the battery or the battery could be bad. Make sure there are no loads on the battery. If there are remove them.
If there are none, have the battery checked or replaced. F06 The charger detected that the battery may be getting too hot (thermal runaway). The charger automatically shuts the current off if it detects the battery may be getting too hot or the battery may have a shorted cell. Have the battery checked or replaced.

One red light flashes. I know the batteries are charged 17v. I've checked all connections. apmeter reads zero. What else should i check?

17 volts is a sign of one battery bad, or both. How old are the batteries? Check each battery separately for at least 12v. Check at the batteries themselves. If you don't get the 12 or greater reading replace the batteries. If you don't have insurance check at batterysharks.com.

Sits overnight and battery drains

Did you check the battery? Take the car and have a load test preformed on it, simply checking the volts will not tell you how the batt is doing.

Also check for any trunk lights, hood lights, glove box lights that are not going off.

Hope this helps.

Check the battery cables from the battery to the main fuse block and to the starter and all the grounds. Have you tested the battery to make sure it has a charge?

Battery

The mechanic should check the battery if it is full charge or not . the battery should be inspected if it is corroded , lock of battery water or distilled water. then check the battery plate the one that divide the water in the battery check it if dirty or corroded . If these parts of battery are worn out or destroyed , then replace them. After checking the battery or after inspecting the battery then charge it fully on electricity .After it you still have to check the car's ignition system . check for loose wires or worn out fuse.from ignition switch , ignition coil , spark plug , distributor assembly. You have to check these for to be sure that when your going to start the car it will start properly. those loose wires you have to re connect them ,those worn out fuses replace them. Then place the battery back to its place.
