Question about HP Pavilion dv2911us PC Notebook
I've been able to reboot to factory conditions several times a year after backing up on alternative hard drive, the prompt screen "f1, f 3, f4 ect. never accepts entered options, "reboot system" factory restoration. whatever I choose usually f8 -directs me to start windows normally, and which the enter or accept key won't accept or enter.
If you do an illegal shut down which is power off by holding down the power switch for 8 seconds. The HP computer will then boot with the scandisk program, which will restore your hdd to perfection. Windows XP or later now use 'system restore' to rearrange registry from a previous calender date that the computer used to work perfectly.
