Hi,

May I offer an alternative possibility? If none of the usual checks, resets, menu settings works, then it could possibly be a hardware fault. Initial suspect would be the power supply. depending on the age, could be anything which includes but not be limited to:

  • loose connection or cold solder;
  • blistered or leaky filter capacitors;
  • heat related issues.
Should this be the case, then the unit has to be opened up for a look and see. This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

1. turn off the printer
2. Disconnect the power chord. make sure there is no loose connection. If the plug is not connected properly the printer will reboot. try a different wall outlet. If connected to surge protector disconnect from it and connect to the main wall outlet.

3. also delete all printjibs
4. Uninstall and resinstall the drivers

if the printer still restarts you will need a technician for checking the internal connection on the connector board.

Thanks

Try to unplug the USB and Power Cable of the printer for about 3-5 mins. You can also try to use a different USB cable to isolate if it's just the physical connection problem. Otherwise, It's a problem with the driver. Try to uninstall and reinstall the driver first. Updating the driver will fix it.

Cleaning the Print Head

If you find that the printout is unexpectedly faint or some dots are missing, you may be able to solve these problems by cleaning the print head, which ensures that the nozzles are delivering ink properly.

You can clean the print head from your computer using the Head Cleaning utility in the printer software or from this product itself by using the control panel buttons.

r_note.gifNote:r_space.gif

  • Print head cleaning uses both color and black inks. To avoid wasting ink, clean the print head only if the copy quality drops (for example, blurred printout, incorrect or missing color.)
r_space.gif
  • Use the nozzle check first to confirm that the print head needs to be cleaned. This saves ink.
r_space.gif
  • When the Error light is on and a message appears on the LCD panel to prompt you to replace the ink cartridge or to indicate the ink is low, you cannot clean the print head. In this case, replace the appropriate ink cartridge first.

If the nozzle check page does not print satisfactorily, you may need to repeat the head cleaning and print the nozzle check pattern again. See Cleaning the Print Head.

r_note.gifNote:r_space.gif

  • If the copy quality has not improved after repeating this procedure four or five times, turn this product off and leave it alone overnight. Then, perform the nozzle check again and repeat the head cleaning if necessary.
r_space.gif
  • If the copy quality still has not improved, one or both of your ink cartridges may be old or damaged and may need to be replaced. To replace an ink cartridge before it is empty, see Replacing an Ink Cartridge. If the copy quality remains a problem after replacing the ink cartridges, contact your dealer.

Epsom cx3200 off brand ink refill

Make sure the print head nozzles are not clogged. You may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.

When you don't turn on your EPSON CX3200 for a long time, the print quality can decline. It's a good idea to turn on your EPSON CX3200 at least once a month to maintain good print quality.

1. Make sure the EPSON CX3200 is turned on but not printing, and the Error light is off.
If the Error light is flashing or on, you may need to replace an ink cartridge.
2. Press the left Menu button on the control panel several times until you see Cleaning and then press the Copy button.
Cleaning takes about 30 seconds, during which the EPSON CX3200 makes some noise and the Operate light flashes. Never turn off the EPSON CX3200 while the Operate light is flashing, unless the EPSON CX3200 hasn't moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes. setViewedFAQCookie(14082, 31605);
