Most often there is a dust-oil clog in the bottom of the bar slot which closes an oil passage between the bar slot and the hole drilled half way through the side of the bar. This provides a passage between the thin shim plate with the two bar bolt holes beside the bar and through to the oil tank or pump output. You can remove the bar and chain and punch out the blockage in the bar with a paper clip if the chain is removed. Make sure the wire can be pushed from the bar slot right through the side hole in the bar. A gravity feed chainsaw should leak right out into the slot of the shim plate, a button pumper should squirt out there with the bar removed. With a button pumper you may have a tiny check valve in the line or the push button to take apart, replace the spring or unstick the ball inside the check valve. This is why they went to the gravity feed oil system which just leaks in there and gets picked up by the bottom of the links as the chain races past the passage between the bar side hole and the chain slot.

No they don't join together. One goes in and the fuel filter is attached to it. The other is the fuel return line, and that is the one that is attached to that plastic part. It is usually a one way valve and nothing else is attached to other end. To get the line in the tank get a small stiff wire, put it through the fuel line hole and other end through filler neck. Wrap the wire around the end of fuel line about 2 to 4 times and pull it through helping it along by pushing on line. I think you see where I am going with this so use your own judgment also. I hope this helps you out a little bit. Regards and good luck.

ON a Poulan 220 Pro all of the fuel lines are

Your fuel lines are routed like the schematic below. I suggest you replace the filter, all hoses (2 different sizes), and the purge button (bleeder).
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3706813-2_cycle_fuel_system_repair
Let us start with the bleeder. The 2 hoses that connect to the bleeder are different sizes (Important). If the nipples are the same size connect a hose temporarily to one of them and place the free end in a small container of mix (please be careful with open gasoline and as soon as it is no longer needed put it out of harms way.). Squeeze the bulb if it blows bubbles that is the return side, it gets the large hose and attaches to a fitting on the tank. If it appears nothing happens but when released fuel is drawn into the bleeder it requires a short section of small hose and attaches to one of the carburetor fittings.
A second small hose goes through the tank and connects to the carburetor just like the video including the filter. It feeds the carburetor like it has since before bleeders were installed. I am not certain which carburetor fitting connects to the tank or the primer, please leave them long enough to swap until the saw is running. Logic says the upper most fitting (air bleed) goes to the primer but that is not always true. The Poulan drawing is deceptive it appears the filtered line feeds the bleeder it does not!!!

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best. Fuel components and part numbers are listed but are on different illustrations. They are also beneficial with disassembly/reassembly.

I NEED A DIAGRAM OF THE FUEL LINE TO THE CARBURETOR FOR A POULAN PREDATOR SERIAL#03296D300154-6 MODEL#2150PR

What you request doesn't exist. An IPL containing fuel system parts with very little detail can be found here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/2150-Predator-Gas-Saw-Type-6/75.2150-Predator-Gas-Saw-Type-6.1.59.1.html
The fuel system parts can be found on the "Engine Assembly" and "Handle & External Assembly" illustrations.

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer, the output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer bulb (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill the bulb as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.

The serial number you provided allowed me to find the correct IPL for your saw Type 6 (-6 from serial number). Thank You.

The fuel lines were brittle. I need to know how they hook up to 33 cc

The typical fuel line routing2.gif is:

One line (the one with the fuel filter in the end of it) comes out of the fuel tank2.gif and goes to the bottom fitting on the carburator. The second line comes out of the tank and goes to the bottom fitting on the primer bulb. The third section of fuel line goes from the top fitting on primer bulb to top fitting on carburator. Hope this helped and best wishes.
