with great difficulty - these belts are so tight!there is a special tool for doing it but there are other ways
one way i have used is to make a spanish windlass from belt to bottom of machine. when belt is level with motor spindle, push belt on and release spanish windlass. could also try levering belt on with a screwdriver
another method is to get a short piece of tubing that will fit over motor spindle. put belt over tube, lever down and slip belt on. this is the best way

boil the kettle...drop the belt in for a few minutes... hold the belt and put under ur feet.. stretch itttttttttttt!!!! a few times.. it will stretch believe it or not to approx another 1 to 2 inches.. then fit the belt.. it WILL be tight..and SHOULD be... little elbow grease to take it that last few centimetres and BINGO!!

Hi if the drum is not stiff and runs free and the motor is energised but not powerful enough it can be thr start capacitor located nearby the motor. its a small cylindical silver can rated at 8 microfarads (125 00 20-33/4 approx £8.50 .) You cant measure it the best way is to try one known to be good. If its not that it is more likely to be the electronic board. You can look for cracked soldered joints and resolder (lead free solder) otherwise its a new electronic.hope this helps
