Re: can't remove stand
There should be a something that you need to push in at the back of the stand that connects to the tele. Someone needs to push it in hard while someone else tilts the tele forward and up or back and up depending on which way the push in part goes. (Presuming this is a flatscreen tv)

Most the time they come with a plastic insert. If you put this in you must remove it and you will see the table top insert holes. Set the stand on something flat and have someone help you guide it in [properly then put the screws back in that you had remove to get it off. General rule of thumb is the table top stand will go straight into the bottom of you TV and may be offset to the back side of the television. Good luck finding the screws as this is the most common lost part.
You need a table and a blanket spread on the table to prevent scratching the screen. Lay the set face down on the blanket and there will be usually 4 screws in the middle at the bottom facing up as the set is flat on the blanket that is holding the stand in place. Also sometimes there is a screw at the very bottom going up towards the top of the set.
There are 6 screws on back of the TV in line with the column for the stand. Remove these and the stand should slide out of the bottom. Some models may have in addition a plastic tab that locks it in place.
If you lay the TV down on something soft but firm (towel on the floor or counter) put the screen face down on the back you should see 4 screw holes with the an (S) next to them. They are located at the center near the bottom. If you remove these screws the stand should then slide out of the bottom of the TV. Good Luck
