Question about AT&T 1738 Digital Answering Machine
I need a step by step explanation of how to set the hours, minutes and year.
Instructions on the phone say to set the clock press and hold till you hear the day of the week. To change the day, hour, minute and year, I'm supposed to use memo/repeat and ANNC/skip.
But right now our machine is on the year 2027 and I can't seem to find a simple way of setting the time by day, hour, minutes and year. I need a sequence. I've played with clock and the memo/repeat and annc/skip buttons with no correct results.

Press and hold C until day of the week is announced. It will say Monday. If you don't want monday use annc/skip to go to the next day. When you get to the day you want hit set. This will save that day of the week for you. Then it will annouce hour, select the hour by doing the same thing and after you have the hour press the set button. Do this for the minutes too. Lastly is the year, if you've went to 2027 and it won't loop back to 2007 say, you can usually unplug it and it will reset the year back to the factory setting.
