Logitech Clear Chat Stereo microphones

Hello, I've plugged in the microphones but I don't know what to do next. I want to chat to my friends so they can hear my voice and I want to hear their voice. My computer was purchased this year and I'm using Windows Vista. Do I need to download some type of software before I start chatting? Thanks for your help!

1- check your mic with an audio amp.
2- Make sure that filter section of Audio Driver of your system has not been changed. If in doubt, uninstall and then reinstall it using mother board CD driver.

Hello There, I just bought the Rode NT1-A, and I am trying to record in protools, but i'm not getting any levels whatsoever. I'm plugged in to an MBOX, in the XLR, I have Phantom Power turned on,...

It sounds like you have done everything right. It would be a good idea to check both the mic and Protools system separately. If you can, verify that the mic works using another device such as a mixer. Also try getting a level into Protools using another mic, preferably a dynamic which doesn't require phantom power. If you are trying to use an original MBOX under Windows 7 or the latest version of OSX then it may not work at all.

Where do you connect the 1/4 inch connector? At the same device (karaoke)?
Also check and report if the 1/4 inch connector is "mono" or "stereo"

Waiting clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Is a dual XLR adapter available for the MV-P612U JVC stereo mic.

The MV-P162U is a stereo mic designed to plug into a JVC professional camcorder. dates from the 1990's and was very expensive. If the 6 pin plug has not been cut off, and you can get a socket to fit, then going clockwise around pins (or wiring side of socket) from the locator.
1) R phase +
2) +8V supply
3) -ve supply/gnd
4) L phase +
5) L phase -
6) R phase -
suggest a small breakout box. tested it with a 9v battery - the drain is 14ma. could run from 12v via a 285 ohm (approx) resistor with a 47uf cap across the mic supply.

The first step is to go into your volume control panel and check to be sure that the microphone fader is not muted and is turned up. Also, what application are you attempting to talk to someone with -- telphone, IM chat, game chat?
