Is there a way I can finalize a DVD-RW so I can show films burned onto the DVD-RW?

Hi,

You have not pointed out what type of program are you using for DVD authoring. The option to finalize the disc is usually provided when you start burning.

I have an alternate solution for you which is easier. You can use the Windows DVD maker available in Vista Home Premium. This way you will not have to manually finalize the disc; it will take care of it itself.

Remember to install codecs such as k-lite basic coded pack for trouble free work with different formats. Then run DVD maker from the start menu. A tutorial can be accessed here.

Note that DVDs created by DVD maker can be played on most DVD players and on computer as well.

Vista Home Edition Driver Problems

Hi Ajay.

It would be best if you take a back up of important files from your OS drive and make a clean installation of the OS again. There might be an issue of corrupt OS files.

Hope that solves it.

Lost dvd

See Microsoft.com (or even Bing.com) about lost media, etc.

You probably don't want that product though; they have some new stuff that's looking more promising.

Also, you didn't describe a problem so much as an inclination to receive product through a certain channel; I'd like childrens' DVDs to come in candy thinpaks, packed in foamed-gold peanuts, but the fix isn't necessarily going to be forthcoming.

When i click on burn from the windows dvd maker an error message comes up indicating that my blank media is not recordable. I have tried using dvd-r and dvd+r.

Try to use different program to burn your dvds, try to use Nero, but this msg also means that Your DVd drive is not burner double check from the device manager if its says read only this means it cannot burn, it has to say write too.

Pioneer dvd-rw dvr-k17 problem

This sounds like you have a Virus or Some other type or Malware that has corrupted your drivers. Please Scan with Avast (http://www.avast.com/), Spybot S&D(http://www.safer-networking.org/), and Adaware (http://lavasoft.com/) all of witch have free versions.

Also it may be that your driver got corupted some othere way if it still does not work try roleing back your driver or updateing it.

Thank you,
Rel

P.s. if that does not work please come back and make sure you give the info that you have

scanned with the above and if you do not reply in this question then make sure you include all

that info with all the info you have already put here. Good Luck!
