Question about D-Link DIR-615 Wireless Router
I'm unable to send emails with my Office Outlook. When I test my email account settings, the client is able to establish a communication with the incoming and outgoing mail server. But when i try to send an email to a contact, I get an error message that the outgoing smtp server cannot be reached. Receiving emails is not a problem. What's really puzzling is that I have another D-link router WBR 2310. When I connect this router, I'm able to send emails through Outlook. I make no changes to my email account setting in Outlook. There is no firewall or anti virus installed on my pc. What could be the issue here?

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

What happens if you connect one of the wireless machines with an ethernet cable? Any chance you have a Firewall of AV program blocking port 25 on these machines? Have you tried Safe Mode With Networking? I'm sure you realize that is most often caused by the ISP blocking Port 25, but I assume they would have told you so if this was the case.

PPTP is also using GRE protocol. GRE is a level 4 protocol (IP protocol number 47), just like TCP (IP protocol number 6).
First, in your WBR-2310 configuration, make sure that "Enable PPTP Passthrough" is checked in Advanved > Firewall settings. Then, make sure that you have also authorized GRE packets in your firewalls.

you have to change your channelk type in your wi fi router.
For that access your router with following link
if you have belkin router
type user name as "admin" and password is "admin" or blank or "password"
then go to wi fi ->advanced setup chang channel type 4 ,6 ,11
change chanel type 1 by 1 and check signal strength.
everyt time save settings and restart both computer and router after save settings.
Thanks for using fixya.

Can you get a pc to connect to the internet? If you can, what IP address does HUGHES assign? If it is in the range of 192.168.0.X then change the DEFAULT GATEWAY address of the router to something like 192.168.10.1 (out of the box it should be set to 192.168.0.1)

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.
