Why is the LED light completely off after the walk test and lockout time?

Yes, it works normally. Things have evolved in the technology of security systems and now it is standard to have any LED turned off on any motion detector (the LED's are now used for walk-testing only), the standard DSC and Honeywell wireless motions also do the same thing.

  • This is a normal function for your motion detector. It's also a great power saving function since most of the current draw on the batteries is when it's transmitting a detection signal so if you're home and moving around it will only transmit every few minutes instead of every second, saving on battery life significantly (up to 5 years on average) but after the 3-minute lockout the passive infrared scans continuously until it transmits another motion signal.
Reason: most burglaries are done by someone who has been there before, if they see the LED then they know the motion will catch them moving in that given spot, then they can "map-out" where it's safe to walk (where the LED doesn't light up) for when they plan to return for a robbery.

You can also make this device "more sensitive" by moving the jumper pin position by the right side battery and having the back mounting plate mounted using the bottom screw presets so it faces slightly downward instead of straight forward.

Helpful tip: Change the batteries every 4 years if you're using Alkaline (dead or not) since the detector was engineered "too energy efficient" and the batteries actually leak and corrode the interior PCB at about the 5-year point on about 15% of the detectors with factory original duracell batteries (from what I've experienced in field service).

As per request. re: reset/fix indoor motion detector.

on all the Honeywell or Ademco wireless motion detectors I have worked on the light will not come on with the cover in place, it is set that way to conserve battery life. If you want to be sure it is working properly arm your system and wait at least 4 minutes before walking in front of he motion then walk in front of it and see if it trips the alarm.

PIR Sensor problem

This is normal. it takes several minutes after power up to adjust to the environment that it is in. Then the motion will only transmit a signal to the alarm panel every few minutes. This is to conserve battery life. Let it sit idle for more than 3 minutes after arming (do not trip the sensor during this period). Afterwards, the first trip should be instant and that should be all you need.

User manual for fl09sbk light

It appears this device is rate 10 amps at 230 volts = 2300 watts.
Use at least #14 wire and 15 amp breaker.
Connect wire at connection point on light.
Unit appears to have a transformer, and might make humming sound.
There is override located somewhere on unit. Possibly as a button on the motion sensor

If infrared motion detector requires separate wiring connection, then use following wiring illustration:

Motion sensor will probably have 2 settings.
1st setting for sensitivity, so it will not activate when cat walks up driveway.
2nd setting for time duration, selectable from 30 seconds to 7 minutes

I have this light for 2 years with no problems at all. recently, it seems that the "left side" of the sensor stopped working. (If I walk right in front or in the right side, the lights will come...

  1. Locate the sensor on the motion detector. The most common problem with a motion detector is a sensor that is obstructed or dirty. Remove any dirt, grime or anything else that may be blocking the view of the sensor. If you need to actually touch the sensor itself to clean it, use a soft cloth or cotton swabs.
  2. Determine if the motion detector has electricity running through it properly. Connect an electrical meter to the wires from the sensor itself. If electricity is indeed running to the sensor, you likely have a broken senor. If there is no electricity making it to the sensor, your motion detector has an electrical short. In the case of an electrical short, you will need the help of a professional electrician to fix it.
  3. Visit a hardware or supply store to buy a replacement sensor

Thanks for understanding.

Which type of siren that must be installed in Prisons, especially large prisons?

In the United States, there are several types of alarms that must all be installed before being certified by BOP.
Cameras, both regular, and 0 lux, or night vision type.
Claxon type sirens capable of producing 115 decibels loudness
Remote single cell door activation systems
Remote multi-cell door activation systems
Shatter sensors built into all the glass windows where an inmate might possibly be at.
New prisons are also installing strobometric flashers, so as to disorient the inmates in case of riot or other unrest in the facility.
All guards in the Prisons must carry handcuffs, and radios at all times while on duty, that way they can always call for help if need be.
Also, in many prisons, motion detection sensors are used so that even if there is no guard right there, the sensor will go off if an inmate manages to get into the wrong area.

I am sure there are other types as well, like heat sensors, and ground vibration sensors, so that it can pick up the vibration of walking across floors.

I hope this has helped you out .

How do you work the pedometer

Switch on, set up the timeframe you want it to record your steps, press start and have it in your pocket on your belt, when you walk. The motion sensors will detect the amount of steps you take within a given time period, or if you have it on all day, it will take your whole day's walking steps.

Vote for me if this helps thanks.
