Question about Acer P205H Widescreen LCD Monitor
About a year ago, tea was spilt on the bottom right corner of my monitor screen, affecting the monitor menu buttons. Among those buttons is an auto config button. Off and on throughout the months it will have these episodes of auto configging, where it interrupts what I am doing. I cannot see the bottom corner and middle of my screen while it does that. I know of no way to turn off auto config or mend this issue. Hopefully you can give me some assistance. In addition, could you recommend the idea of taking my monitor apart and viewing the surrounding area. If so, how do you take off the screen. Thanks for any assistance.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Auto Config????
Auto Config should (in theory) reposition the viewing area of the screen dependant on the resolution. So it fires up when the resolution your monitor is working at is different than the native one (1280x1024), if it's working in windows - set the resolution to 1280x1024 and it should work ok. right click on desktop>properties>settings p.s. also set the refresh rate to 60 hertz.

Each monitor has a menu option. Find out with your manual how to access your menu options for your specific model and in there is an option to display messages or warnings. You can turn it off there.

once you are online, go to the website for the monitor, and download the latest drivers. if that doesn't help, go to computer makers site, and do same thing. Seems the driver you need is absent from operating system.

The PCB present in the front side of monitor is gone...
open the screws from behind, and remove the front panel...
Take the pcb along with the switch present in it...
check for any physical damages....
if no then clean it with thinner or petrol using a old tooth brush...
plug it back and connect all necessary wires...
Now check by turning on.... still same problem then you need to replace that part alone with a new one... no other go....
You can also remove that entire unit and work with the computer, but you wont be able to adjust the settings in the monitor....
