Question about Logitech Cordless TrackMan Optical Trackball
I would like to be able to open the trackman receiver to repair or replace the USB cable. Logitech manufactured this poorly and the wire has frayed and exposed some copper insulation. There is a small hole on the bottom rear of the receiver but there seems no way to release the latch. I have tried prying with a small screwdriver, but do not want to break the plastic. Please tell me how to do this, as I miss my trackman.

On the bottom of the receiver there is a screw (philips), you can not really see it but there is a spot with crosshairs. Stick your screw driver in the cross hairs and after a turn or two, the screw will appear. Once that screw is out, the top comes off easily.
I had to remove the top myself because the wires came loose and I had to open it to reattach the wires.
