SOURCE: echo gt 2000 does not have spark and will not start

Your ignition module is probably bad. The part may be as much as $35, but you might want to double check.

I have a CS-4400 Echo chainsaw that wont start. I don't think it is firing

1st thing let's check the spark.remove the plug leave it connected to the wire and ground the side of the plug to the engine. and have someone pull the started rope. watch the gap area of the plug for spark. make sure the plug is gap to factory specs, and hold it by the rubber booth. and the on switch is in the run position. good luck Tom

Echo weed eater not getting any spark?

Remove plug and lay plug base against the cylinder or jumper plug base with jumper wire or battery jumper cables to the cylinder and pull starter cord and see if you have spark on plug, you may have to darken room as some sparks are very hard to see in light. If you have no spark would check the ignition switch by removing wire and make sure the wire does not touch metal. If you still have no spark you probably have bad coil that is if this is not a point type ignition system in which case it could be dirty or pitted points. Would always help if you give model no. When asking questions which we could look up type of machine.

Not getting fire to plug, replaced ignition still no spark, echo pb-400e

With a good plug and a new switch there are a few remaining basic options. There is either a bad ignition coil or a bad wire or bad connection somewhere.

I hope this helps.

Echo cs-3400 wont start . no spark. what are the primary and secondary coil readings?

if you have no spark

check for faulty plug 1st, then pull kill wire off at kill switch, then check for grounding ht lead ,
then pull kill wire off at armature , if still no spark most likley faulty ignition armature
i suspect the part number you need if its type 1 is 15662639130
replace it and set air gap and reassemble and test

here is web site for parts

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/echo-cs3400-type-chainsaw-parts-c-35043_35970_36021.html

or you could try www.partstree.com , go to echo saws , then find your model

cheers hope it helps

My 2001 toyota echo is cutting out bad I just changed the cat and both o2 sencers and spark plugs and its still doing it help please

Try replacing the spark plug wires if you did not change them when you did the plugs. It is very important that you pull one and only one spark plug wire at a time to keep them in the correct order or your car will misfire. You should change your fuel filter every 30k miles and they are usually about $20. Try the wires first and see what happens.

Ho spark on a pb 403t backpack blower

Be sure you have no spark ( 90% of the units that come into my shop for repair with the complaint of no spark- have a fuel issue). Be sure the spark plug is good.
If no spark then remove the ground wire from the module and check for spark again. You must use the recoil starter- spinning by hand is not sufficient. If still no spark then replace module. If there is spark with the ground wire disconnected then there is a problem with the kill switch or a bad wire.

Theres no spark, i changed the plug but its still not sparking. I even held the plug and pulled it to double check. Nothing at all.

your switch may be shorting or your black ground wire is shorting. if all is ok on the wiring your coil is bad. replace it. good luck
