Question about GE Microwave Ovens
Model number PVM2070SM4SS Spacemaker 2.0 Manufactured in January 2010 Vent from the touch pad is working fine. Boost button from outside the touch pad (a regular button) is not working. Also, it asks for a charcoal filter replacement; however, when I opened it, it doesn't have a filter to change. Should I get it and put it in there? Why GE doesn't mount the filter and then requires the user to get it and mount it?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Sadly, GE does not make individual parts available for these controllers, so they cannot be repaired.
You have to replace the control panel sub-assembly (part number WB07X10733 in your case) and the best price I've found on that is $370.32 here (compared to $483.25 direct from GE).
In my opinion, this does not do much to inspire brand loyalty...
Or you may be able to find a whole oven on eBay for about that or less.
Sorry to bear bad news. Good luck.
