SOURCE: Danby DDW1802W Cycle Problems

The fill valve is probably stuck in the full position. It's at the bottom of the tub and looks like a small tube with a cap on it. You should be able to move the cap up and down easily.

Water leaks from handle and door

You will need to find out where the water is coming in from before you can fix the problem. Water will find the path of least resistance when flowing, you could start out by running a bead of clear silicon chaulk along the edge of the sill on the outside between the sill and concrete. If that does not stop the leak it may be coming in around the trim and running in behind the door jamb the running out inside. Once you chaulk and let it dry us a hose and wet it down real good and see if it leaks.

We just bought a house, and it has a Danby WWD1802W dishwasher. My husband turned on the water supply to it and plugged it in. It sounds like it is on, but it won't fill with water. The water is not...

first make sure the line is on under the sink the next thing that you would check is that you have water flowing to the water valve after you check that you do have water flowing to the valve you would then assure on the plug in connection that plugs into the solenoid on top of the top that there is power going to the valve when the unit is pressed to turn on if there is power going to the valve then the valve would be at fault and have to be replaced if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future Thanks again Rick

Water pressure loss

The arms that spin can get small pieces of food stuck in the holes where the water comes out. The arms are held in by a large plastic screw that most times can be loosen by hand. Once out clean out the arms of any food and anything else that doesn't belong there. Also check the bottom of the washer where the water inlet is and make sure there is nothing blocking the water form getting back to the pump.

I hope this helps:)

Dishwasher won't turn on

I have a DDW1802W with a Stainless Steel interior (which is different from the standard model I am finding). I just purchased it, and it worked a couple times, but then wouldn't start the cycle. It would just make noise (both the clicking of the switch dial, and a moaning noise. It has a small container under the insulation on the right side towards the front (you will need to pull it our of your counter) that has a styrofoam float in it that hits a switch when it gets full (signaling a overflow). There is a small black rubber plug on the bottom side of the container. I pulled that and drained the water out of it, stuffed it back in, and it is running right now.

Dishwasher won't start...

most common fault is door switch. Do the lights stay on with the door opened? If so, this may be the problem. Otherwise may be the timer switch or the water valve. If it's the water valve the pump should come on when the timer knob is turned and the drain cycle is actuated. Othwise it's probably the door switch or the timer. If it was intermittant and banging on it made it work before it may just be a loose connection.
