Question about Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Notebook
Red line on my toshiba laptop
living in central america
with a laptop from canada
soooooooooooo.... not much support here
not too many bright techs here ..
it is really frustrating
help help from someone brilliant
and honest .. oh the lack of honestly and service here is unreal ..
thanks guys and gals ..
Give more details please.
- case 1 : does it not turn on at all ?
- case 2: or does the screen stay blank with that red line, but laptop still makes noises (a sign for hardware activity and a proper boot up..!, but the lcd monitor is broke then)
- case 3: or do have a steady red line on the display all the time whatever you do in windows?
(your lcd monitor maybe damaged in that area,) you will have to use it that way..then.
you may try to connect any other vga monitor to the laptop's graphic card (the 3 -row pin input in the back of the laptop) to double-check.
In both last error cases, just to see if error is still there (if not, you're lucky, work with the external monitor then.., if yes, it's the laptops' graphics card then, bad luck as in case 1).
check this out, if still problems, please give more prob details - you know where to find us, don't you? :-)
