Question about Frigidaire FWT449
Moved my washer to my new laundry room. It worked before the move, but now it isn't. The display box read ddo. I did some research and found out how to get the error code, which is E14. I don't know what a reed switch is and I don't know how easy or difficult it is to replace. I'm pretty handy with tools and my husband recently had a stroke and can't help me. Can you explain it to me? Thanks!
Reeed swith id a small magneteic door switch, i believe frigidaie has taken the m out of newer machine( caused more problem then worth. i would check to see that all doors are closed all the way, especially the dispensor door. theres a slot on the inside of the dispensor assy that holds a small magnet( again theyvce removed from most newer production ) perhaps yours (if indeed oyu had one fell out or became dislodged in moving the unit

Tips for a great answer:
Thank you for your inquiry, edwin chiu!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer is displaying the error code "DDO". "DDO" stands for dispenser door open which could be a problem within your door or reed switch. I would recommend opening and closing you do to secure the connection is proper.
If that does not correct the issue I would perform a reset on your washer which you can do by disconnecting the power from it by either unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

Hello geraldinerid - Typically DDO indicates that the washer has detected a problem with the dispenser drawer. Either the drawer is open and will not close properly or a further diagnosis is recommended to have a professional check the reed switch.

Hello gracehamada - Typically DDO indicates that the washer has detected a problem with the dispenser drawer. Either the drawer is open and will not close properly or a professional needs to check the reed switch. Try resetting the washer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately twenty minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Hello Phyllis Emmett - Do you notice any error codes displayed on the control panel or lights blinking? If so and the panel displays "DR", the door may have a defective door lock switch. However, if panel displays "DDO" either the drawer is not closing, magnet may be missing or have a defective reed switch, which you will need to contact a professional to diagnose the unit.
