Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: ibm t22 thinkpad laptop error 0175 crc1

Ok hm...

Sounds expensive, I'm afraid!

Here is IBM'smag-glass_10x10.gif explanation of the error codes.

What your machine is telling you is that a chip on your Motherboard is faulty and the only way to repair it is a new system board.

It is probably worth finding out how much IBM would charge you to repair it but I very much doubt you'd get much change from £500.

SOURCE: forget BIOS Password (Laptop - IBM Thinkpad Lenovo R60)

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.

SOURCE: I have an IBM Thinkpad R30 laptop. Where can I

Here is the link to your service manual. I do not believe the unit has a "switch", it can be enabled and disabled through the device manager on windows. Control Panel > system > hardware > device Manager, scroll down to network devices and check to see if it is listed and either enable it or disable, whichever you want.

Ibm thinkpad r50 wont start

Remove main battery and power on, next! remove one stick of ram and try again, remove the second piece and return the first one, if still no result! check the power supply that it is putting out the correct voltage, if okay! the DC jack in the laptop is a common issue with bad connections, this is where a professional is needed to assess.

IBM ThinkPad T40: the problem is the following Modem HSP56 MR( Intel) doesnot work, Other devices:Nework Controller and unknown device doesn't work

Windows is missing the "device-drivers" for your network adapter and your modem.

On a different computer, access IBM's ThinkPad web-site, and download those device-drivers for your T40. Copy the device-drivers to either a CD-writable or to a USB memory-stick.

Move the media to your T40, and install from that removable media.

How do i turn off my tracking device on my Lenovo IBM ThinkPad?

Hi tessagaskin0,

I see that you want to turn OFF your tracking stick on the keyboard.

Regardless of what Windows you may have, you can disable you tracking stick from the control panel.

Check in Control Panel, this can possibly be located under Mouse or in the Mouse settings try to see if it will provide you an option for the tracking stick/ Device to be disable on the system.

I hope that this helps.

Have a nice day,

Don't have a place to install the cd to download software trying to install netgear G54 wireless USB Adapter to IBM Thinkpad 2662

Find another computer with a CD-drive and a USB port.
Purchase a USB memory-stick.
Connect the memory-stick to that computer, and copy all the files from the CD onto the memory-stick.
Move the memory-stick onto your computer, and install from the files on the memory-stick.

My IBM thinkpad t30 beeps 8 times at me when i go to turn it on and will not start up what is that

Video memory error. The BIOS cannot write to the frame buffer memory on the video card. Since the frame buffer memory is on the video board's memory chips then you will have to replace the entire board.

Adding memory, new total not recognized: IBM Thinkpad R51e-1844

Ram should always be paired. Same type, speed and size in each slot. You may have 1 SIMM/DIMM/DDR that has 2 sides of chips and the other with 1 which will do exactly what you state. RAM reads across the chips simultaneously. So if you have a different one in each slot it can go bonkers and do goofy stuff on you.

You need to download and install the drivers for your memory stick. You can do this by going to the manufacturers website (who made the stick) and  download the drivers from there.

There is a hole in the front of the drive - just stick a paperclip in it to manually eject the cd.
