Keyboard keys wont type. used on screen keyboard to type this. any suggestions?

You might have "sticky keys" so try this:
When sticky keys are enabled, users can access functions that require pressing multiple modifier keys such as "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Shift" at once by pressing one button at a time. If sticky keys are enabled, it is possible to accidentally turn them on at an unwanted time. After turning off the sticky keys, disable the feature to prevent them from accidentally turning on again.

    • Press the "Shift" button five times in a row to turn off sticky keys.

    • Open the "Start" menu and then click "Control Panel."

    • Click "Ease of Access Center" from within the Control Panel window.

    • Click "Make The Keyboard Easier To Use" from within the Ease of Access Center window.

    • Remove the check-mark beside "Turn On Sticky Keys" to prevent sticky keys from being accidentally turned on.

    • Click "Apply" to save your changes and then click "OK" to close the window.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

HP ProBook 1. Everytime i try to type in a box the screen closes to the desktop 2 my font size always changes; i have to continually change it back to 100, how do i get it to stay.

Seems the on board keyboard had problems ( sticky ) Have you try using Usb keyboard? I guess the 'Sticky key' is Ctrl or Alt key. you can try pressing Shift key 5 times repetedly ( to disable sticky key )
Try remap keyboard > ( to disable sticky key with application )

My keyboard automatically typing letter y and '''''''''''''''''''''... continuously even without pressing my keyboard....

Sounds like a sticky key so just blow with your mouth where the letter is to loosen any dirt or get a knife or something flat and pointy and left the letter up. Does this work?

My Inspiron 1505 will not type the letters h,t,c and e in e-mail only unless I put on the cap lock then hit the shift key. Any ideas what the problem is?

The potential is you have what's known as "sticky keys" turned on. Check accessibility options and make certain it is turned off. Those letters are used as shortcuts for various actions in different email programs- I suspect sticky keys is the problem.

I have a Toshiba NB100-12A, but have problem seeing the keyboard

Hi

Thank you for your query

Unfortunatley Toshiba do not do alternate white keyboards, however there is a method or 2 to get around this

Please see below for sugeestions

1) You can purchase white sticky keys, these are jsut labels you stick on top of your exisiting keyboard turnng the keys from black to white

2) You can purchase a external mini white ksyboard, which you canplug directly into the USB slot

Both of the above can be purchased from ebay, for option 1 type in sticky keybpard keys, and for 2) type in mini white keybaord in the search box on the site

If this has been useful please leave postive feedback/vote/testimonial - Thank You Again

Type letter and get number on keyboard

Hold down the Function Key and the F11 key at the same time. That should reset your keyboard to the letter.
