Question about Hoover SE230 Front Load Washer

Hoover SE230 - How do I remove the top cover?

Can't see how to get the top off, though I did it a few years ago, when I got instructions over the phone from a repair shop. Just can't remember how, but I know it was very easy!

Can't get the image I'm looking for but if this is like most front load washers, there is a screw in each upper corner of the back of the machine. Removing those allows you to slide the top back and then lift off.

SOURCE: Hoover SE230 Programmer rotating

Hi there, my washing machine was doing the same as the one you have mentioned.
I bought a replacement timer from the website highlighted below. It has done the trick and every programme works properly now.
A competent DIY person can change one of these easily and will take about 30 minutes to do.
The new part looks slightly different but it carries the same part number.

The price £24.99 + £4.98 delivery.

SOURCE: hoover washing machine (se230).. after washing,

Time to check the water pump action and it's associated hoses. Look for kinked or collapsed hoses and check that the drain from the tub to the pump will pass water. If the pump doesn't run, check for power to it when it is supposed to be running, and verify that it is free to turn. There may be something jamming the impeller.

What are the tune up specs for a 2000 olds sillhoette

Need to explain

Tune-ups left some 25 years ago,even though
shops advertise & talk about it & pitch that non sense

Today's vehicles require spark plugs to
be changed, everything else is done by computer
& has been for 33 years

The only exception is a few vehicles with an ignition
distributor & obviously you clean the cap & rotor

Do you not have a repair shop you take vehicles to?

You need to separate tune-up from the many things
that are covered under Preventative Maintenance

I personally treat all vehicles the same

Today I mostly go by time in years & seldom worry
about mileage ,other then motor oil

You need to road test all vehicles a few times a year with
a scan tool & look at data, just as you go to a doctor for
a check up

Drum not turning

If u have a burning smell, I'd check the belt and belt pulley. There is a switch at the pulley arm...if the belt hasn't pulled the pulley tight the switch won't make and motor won't run.

2004 Chevy Cavalier engine light and trac off light

One year ago---your check engine light came on
The PO405 code was for an EGR Valve issue
No mention--- if you had that fixed

A Few Days Ago---you get Trac Light on,that is part of
the ABS Braking System
Now that system has to be diagnosed & repaired, not just
continue to use the car, actually make the repair, before
you do some damage or can't stop the car & worse things happen

Changing Trans Fluid---is NOT a FIX for anything, but should
be done on all vehicles every 3 years.

If the Engine Management System isn't working correctly, then
your trans won't work as it should either

You need to be proactive & immediately have any abnormal
operation or check light problems, at least diagnosed in a few days
of noticing them

You need to stop using any car that isn't 100% & have it
repaired as soon as possible.

Not wait weeks or years.
Being 9 years old, the trans may also have it's own issues

Hoover HWD-20 how do I open/access the switch and motor section?

I\'ve discovered how to get the cover open.

There are four grey inserts on the top of the machine that are used to store the power cable. If you pull these up and out

(takes a bit of force) they reveal four small star screws that are somewhat difficult to access. They can be undone with a

small long handled hex nut though.

Once the screws are undone, lift the cover carefully because the switch is connected to the top. Carefully put your hand inside

the machine, having made sure the device is disconnected, and push the switch through and out the top. Then write down how the

wires are connected, red and blue on the "O" side and for the two black connectors first make a small notch with any device or

wrap some coloured tape around it etc so that you know which is which (Though technically it shouldn\'t matter). The crimp curl

overs point away from each other. Pull the crimp ends off.

There are then three slightly larger star screws to remove. You\'ve now access to the devices internals.

Do in reverse to re-assemble.

There isn\'t actually much one can do once inside the device, it\'s suprisingly well made with very little dust penetration even

after a lot of abuse. Other than the difficult to get to screws I\'m impressed with Hoover.

How to remover the hood from hoover u6439900 vacuum, all screws have been removed but something still holding it on.

Your vac is a Self Propelled Hoover Windtunnel upright. It should have two small buttons on the top of the hood that control the self-propelled feature and the height of the carpet being swept. These two buttons must be removed in order to completely remove the top of the units head, even though you may have all the screws loose and out. They generally don't come easily, so unless this is a real serious problem you're dealing with you might want to consider just closing it back up

My Hoover brush spins, but doesn't have very strong suction. I've checked the filter, tubes, but it seems as though something is stuck inside. Can you tell me how to check behind the roller to...

To get the roller out.Turn the machine upside down. You will see some screws.Remove them. That allows you to remove that plate. The roller will just lift out. Some have a cap on it and can fit tight. On the back of the machine are two more screws that hold the hose on.You can take the hose off there ,if you have not already.Running a straightened out wire hanger through the hose will insure that there is not a clog you may be missing. As it is a few years, replace the belt while you have the roller out.It is on one end of the roller and the other end slips on a small wheel. It is easy to do and may improve the over all performance of the vacuum.
