I have a 2008 grizzly 700 and it won't drive (move) in 2wd. I only can drive in 4 wheel drive. Any thoughts on how to diagnose what the problem could be? Please help

This is the electric motor inside your servo that actuates your 4wd/2wd/diff locker. When the servo goes out on these bikes, it's more than likely the small electric motor. Simply pull the servo off the front differential, open it up and you will see the small motor inside. I pulled the complete diff out in the instructions due to having to change a seal but you can do this with it still in the bike.

If you have a skid plate on you will have to remove it to access the bottom bolt on the servo. I also recommend having the bike in 2wd to ease in installing the servo back on the diff.

Remove the 3 bolts that hold the servo on the diff. Gear oil is going to pour out unless you drain it first.

Install back on the bike fill with gear oil and enjoy your 4wd and the money you saved.

Once you get the screws out, carefully pry the servo apart taking extra care not to turn the gears inside.

Once apart it will look like this.

Remove those two screws and carefully pry up on the motor and remove it and the small gear attached to the end of it.

What and where is the servos

  • A servo is a mechanism, usually a motor of some sort, that drives another mechanism. On a passenger aeroplane, for example, the control surfaces are too difficult for the pilot to operate because there is so much wind pressure against them, so they use hydraulic servos to move the elevator, flaps etc.
  • On a car, the drive by wire throttle control is a servo, which is electronically controlled by the computer, depending on the throttle position under the driver's foot.
  • In effect, the power steering ram on a car is also a servo, which is powered by the p/s pump, and controlled by the valves in the steering column.
  • On a smaller scale, the air conditioner has servos that open and close the relevant air duct flaps when the dashboard controls are shifted to control the flow of air in the car. Please note that on older cars, and some new ones, these flaps are not controlled by servos but by cables.
  • The remote controlled central locking on a car has servos in the doors that open and close the door locks when the remote button is pressed. On some cars these door lock servos are small electric motors, on others they use vacuum operated pistons, also called servos.
  • Hope this answers your question!

My Book 1Tb not visible in the system ["Status code = 06 (Failed servo an/or seek test element)]

First,Your first sign was the "Failed servo an/or seek test element" mistake, the second was taking it from the plastic casing and plugging it into your pc. The servo is bad! you are better off replacing the drive. You pretty much can write off any data you had on it if the servo is shot.

Hi. The Sportasrt T680 Treadmill shows Error 2_1. Does anybody know, what should I check in the AC Servo Driver? The IGBT bridge is okay. Any other? Thanks.

hi,

The primary reason for E2-1 is that the drive board detects IGBT over current signal

Check the folowing.

A. Re-start the unit.

B. Inspect whether the servo motor wires are connected properly to the motor.

C. Replace the drive board.

D. Inspect the servo motor windings for a break. If so

E. Replace the servo motor

Erra code 60 appears when I start my 2007 r1,also engine management light appears and bike has no throttle responce

Fault code No.: 60
Symptom: Throttle servo motor: open or short circuit detected. Defective throttle servo motor. Malfunction in ECU (servo motor driving system).
Probable cause of malfunction:
•Open or short circuit in wire harness.
•Defective throttle servo motor (potentiometer circuit).
•Stuck throttle servo motor (mechanism).
•Stuck throttle servo motor (motor).
•Malfunction in ECU.
Diagnostic code No.: 01

FIRST thing to do is CHECK the ETV Fuse - 7.5A I think - This might NOT be in the main fuse box.
Hope this helps

Took my yamaha 600 series atv to shop 4 wheel drive system not working they said it was electrical i thought this is a machanical cluth just trying to put one over on meare they

THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ENGAGEMENT FOR THIS UNIT DEPENDS ON ELECTRICITY (IN THE FORM OF 12V) TO ACTIVATE THE SERVO THAT ENGAGES AND DISENGAGES THE FINAL DRIVE. YOU CAN TEST THIS SYSTEM BY APPLYING 12V TO THE SERVO DIRECTLY, AT THE CONNECTOR. YOU SHOULD HEAR THE SERVO TRYING TO ACTUATE WHEN YOU APPLY THE VOLTAGE. IF NOT THEN THE SERVO ITSELF COULD BE THE CULPRIT.
