SOURCE: I have the Neiko electric

I have seen many different brand names on this tool depending or retail outlet / where purchased, including Sears, however none of the sellers offer replacement parts or are much help when a problem arises. This tool is a Chinese copy of the Hitachi h65 and parts list for Hitachi hammer can be seen at www.toolpartsdirect.com and many other web sites found by google search ( hitachi h65, or hitachi h65 manual ). Instead of taking apart the lower end of the hammer (if hammer still functions ), just remove the oil fill compartment cover and the oil felt retainer ( or only the felt) and introduce light oil directly into hammer to flush out old oil / debris. After you are satisfied with lubrication of the hammer, clean felt with diesel fuel and re-install. The felt is a wick and transfers the oil to crank. Place the wick in proper place for crank to catch oil (or replace wick with hitachi part). If oil does not transfer, use lighter weight non detergent oil. If you still want to take hammer apart, (remember that no parts are available) you will need to take the rod off the crank by removing the side cover to easily pull the lower end. Good luck with your repair.

I bought a new jack hammer. After using it for a few hours grease started to come out where the bit is. Is this normal

No thats not normal real JACK HAMMERS on AIR ??? but its not Milwaukee not Bosch not Dewalt but a China brand? if you are have a real jack hammer then its not the right collum because its placed under Hammer drills? and you have also not possible speaking about maybe a little weight rotary hammer ? because ONLY real demolition and jackhammers are very specially made for the long lasting jobs !!! but the weight and power is very important by use the right tool for the right job the most rotary hammers ( exept brands like Hilti and Duss) are not made for long lasting jobs and are made for only working for a short time. its also makes the great price difference between a hammerdrill a rotary hammer a real demolition or a real jackhammer is much higher price. The tools on air Atlas Copco or Ingersoll for the hard and heavy jobs
If you have bought your tool by a hardware store and it is a real jack hammer go immediately back its possible that you are wrong informed by the seller or the budget was the fact. about the price for the tool maybe you have a real jackhammer but have choose a to little model size machine to do the job or its a budget brand online bought China machine. Its a simple question but a hard answer, difficult questions do not exist but difficult answers sometimes.
Regard and luck by warranty and a very small change maybe it is just only a factory flaw.

Bosch 11316EVS demolition Hammer soft start not working. Starts at full speed and does not impact until slowed down.

Variable speed control module has failed, however you can still use the tool. Hammering action will improve with a good cleaning of internal parts and apply new grease. Hammering action is caused by air/vacuum cushion between drive piston and driven piston which inturn hits a third piston that actually impacts the bit. If third piston is worn, chipped and lodged with debris, there will be light hammering action. After use, store the hammer with the nose pointing down so that the driven piston will slide to end of cylinder and ready for next use.

Hello... I've rented a Bosch 11318 Hammer drill and it did not come with a manual......could you please tell me how to insert the bit. thank you.

You should only need to push the bit in. If that does not work grasp the chuck and pull back towards the handle than insert the bit and release the chuck. You remove the bit by doing the same pulling the chuck back and taking the bit out

It won't rotate. It only hammers.

The 11316 Demolition Hammer is made to hammer only, it does not rotate the bit. It is for demolition with pointed bits or flat and scraping chisels. If you want to drill holes in cement you need a rotary hammer drill.

This demolition hammer will make the sound like is rotating inside to do the hammering motion, but the shank doesn't do anything at all. what could cause this problem? Thanks.

Large hammers have an air driven piston (an air cushion betweem pistons) and an intermediate anvil that actually hammers on bit. If the cylinder and air cushion piston are dry there will not be enough suction/pressure between the driver piston and driven. Remove lower part of hammer and lube with electric hammer grease. Make sure that orings fit snuggly and the anvil is not jammed. Do not store hammer with the bit pointing up because the driven piston will slide down cylinder and hug driver piston. If the hammer was stored pointing up, turn hammer around and place in stand with nose down in a warm location so that the driver piston will drop into place. Good holidays
