Question about Kodak EasyShare DX6490 Digital Camera
Camera is 3-4 years old and charger is blinking red. We relpaced battery and get the same result. No charging and blinking red. I've checked all problems in the troubleshooting section and I don't believe the camera was dropped.
This maybe a solution. I had the same issue just now. Pulled battery, put back in, placed on dock, and still blinking red. So I removed the camera from the dock, pulled battery, put same old battery back in, placed on the dock and turned the mode switch on right away before it started blinkin red. It seems to be charging now with one bar and has not gone blinking red for 15 minutes.
I was outside with the camera in 10 degree weather taking pics of my dogs but had been inside for 20 minutes before placing it on the doc. I think something may have happened with the charging circuit and turning it on right away with it on the doc may have reset the charging. Try it. Hope it works for you.
