Its right where the paper comes out of the machine, not sure where or what it is called. I was thinking it might be a broken tooth on one of the gears, but not sure which one. who knows when its been serviced and not sure on the brand of toner, I inherited this problem (started a new job and they asked if I could fix it) Thanks for all your input though I really do appreciate it. I'll check all the stuff u said. as for the service from a tech, don't know if that has ever happened and I can tell ya it won't happen for a while cause THEY'RE TOO CHEAP!! Thanks again

Where exactly is the paper jamming in the unit? It would be helpful to know if it is at the paper feed units or within the imaging section of the unit or within the fusing and exit sections.

Many times paper feed problems can be caused by a faulty feed roller or roller bearing that is worn. Also have you tried other suppliers of paper for the unit? Are you using genuine Canon components (drum, toner, etc) or are you using 3rd party brands of materials?

It is quite possible that the unit has a gear with a broken tooth that is causing the noise. Without actually seeing the unit with my own eyes it is hard to say. When was the unit last serviced by a factory trained service tech?

Cheers,

Keith

Sharp MX-2300N constantly sounds like it's feeding paper. It will feed paper just fine when it's actually printing something but it will still sound like it's printing something but nothing ever happ

The fuser will occasionally turn on and run to keep itself at 400 degrees. You can change the 'time to sleep' for both the fuser and overall copier through the Energy Saver admin level in the System Settings. If the fuser is running way too often, the thermistors may be insulated with a layer of toner which can be scraped off. If after a print or copy job, the machine still runs for 5 seconds or longer, you may have scrambled firmware needing a reflash.

My kenmore washing machine makes a hum sound and does not work at all. Please let me know what it could be.

the humming sound is coming from the motor, the motor is either bad or something is jamming it from moving like something in the pump.if this is a top load washer you can remove the pump and start it,if the motor runs then something is jamming up the pump, also while the pump is off,i've spun the motor shaft where the pump connects and got the motor to run and customers have run the washer without any problems but there's a flat spot in the motor,if it stops on that spot again it will do the same thing,i've seen them last only one wash and other times the motor never stopped again

If you just started hearing the sound after you installed the face-down delivery rollers,
I would remove them and reinstall them. If it's still noisy, install the original assembly
and listen for the noise. You may have received a bad assembly.

It's a clicking noise today, but tomorrow....

Every time I go to copy the paper gets jammed going into C from A. I have pulled out the A drawer and pulled the jam out of C numerous times and it keeps happening. What do I do?

Make sure the machine has toner. Sometimes running out of toner can cause jams. Otherwise make sure there are no tiny scraps of paper lodged anywhere. The tiniest piece can cause a jam. Also, make sure all the sensors are clean (they look like two little eyes). Make sure your paper tray is set to the right size and direction of paper if your copier has that setting - it is a green dial in the paper tray. If you've checked all these things you'll have to call your service tech because it may be a bad sensor or something else.

Exhast fan seems jammed. When you try and run it you get a bad loud hummm like the motor is jammed. The fan had been noisy when running before, so wondering if it was loose before this.

Noisy can indicate a bearing failing and it sounds like it finally siezed. Try spinning the fan by hand and run it again. It might need the bearings lubricated to get a little more life out of it.
