Question about Canon imageRUNNER 5020i Copier
My copier has been jamming all the time and it sounds like **** when its running, was wondering if it was something that has been known to go bad on these machines. any help would be great. thanks
Where exactly is the paper jamming in the unit? It would be helpful to know if it is at the paper feed units or within the imaging section of the unit or within the fusing and exit sections.
Many times paper feed problems can be caused by a faulty feed roller or roller bearing that is worn. Also have you tried other suppliers of paper for the unit? Are you using genuine Canon components (drum, toner, etc) or are you using 3rd party brands of materials?
It is quite possible that the unit has a gear with a broken tooth that is causing the noise. Without actually seeing the unit with my own eyes it is hard to say. When was the unit last serviced by a factory trained service tech?
