Bizhub C351 error when scan to PDF

All other features work just fine, but when we try scanning to PDF we get this error message "Job has been done improperly, check the log" Please advise

SOURCE: SMB Scanning to a Macintosh

I don't know if SMB for a Mac is supported on Bizhubs. I know it works with Microsoft workgroups. The only other way to get around it is to scan to e-mail. Then retrieve the e-mail from a Mac.

Ok, fist, which OS have you on your PC/MAC ?
if it is a PC with win XP ONLY (Vista, sometimes it does have some problems with the Share folders ...)
on your PC : (someoperations should be done by an IT engineer)
0. change the IP address from your PC to a fixed one (never DHCP on the computer for scanning from a copier !!!) (e.g. 192.168.1.100)
1. Create a user SMB with pass SMB (easy to remember - an IT engineer can change it, and then will have to read and follow these following steps to adapt it to the new user)
2. create a folder named SCAN
3. share the folder SCAN, and verify that all users have totalcontrol on the folder scan (right click on SCAN, Tab share/security, TOTAL CONTROL must be check for SMB user ...)
4. from another computer (if you have one), try to go on your IP with the folder, by connecting on this address with SMB suer, and SMB pass (=SMB !!) (e.g. //192.168.1.100/SCAN in the explorer of windows, and whe Windows asking you a user, type SMB, and pass SMB - if it is correct, normally, you'll done !

on the copier:
in utility/counter/register 1 touch/Adress book, scan, SMB, create your touche (i don t know the word in english - im a little frenchie :-) ) which will be called, SCAN SMB for example
USER : SMB
PASS : SMB
PATH : SCAN
ADRESS of the server : 192.168.1.100

I m telling you all this by reading in my mind, it s too late to be at work :-) but it may work now !!

I had this problem when sending to mail account.
This can also be changed for ftp/smb.
So maby this is the answer to you problem.

Solution: Extend the time-out from 90 to 300 seconds

Goto the setting of the machine (http://<ip>) and login with Administrator account.
On the page Network click on Email/SMTP.
Change the Time-Out setting to 300 seconds.

Easiest way is to change to SMB scanning which will give you direct scanning to PC or server. Create a new address in the machines address tab in the browser add the (must be a fixed) ip address of the machine it is going to with the folder name, user name and password and it will work a treat.

SOURCE: job has been done improperly check log files

The first thing to try is to restart the Bizhub. Power switch for that is located behind the front panel where the toner cartidges are. Not the switch to the side of the operation panel.

If that doesn't work, you need to check the job history. Press details, there will be a description of the error.

Server Connect Error: The Bizhub cannot find your computer.
Things to check:
Firewall, ports that need to be open are TCP 139, 445, UDP 137, 138
Netbois resolution not working, try using your PC's IP address instead.
If using Host Name to resolve, try Host name in uppercase.

Folder Not Found:
Check to make sure you are using the correct share name. Not necessarily would be sd.

Login error:
Need to use a Username/Password which is an active account which has priveledge for the shared directory. If on a domain, use a domain authentication string for the username (username@domain.com) If on a workgroup, \\COMPUTERNAME\Username If your password rotates every 60-90 days, could be that all you need to do is update the Bizhub with that information.

Konica Minolta bizhub reads "server disk full": how to unfill server disk? or how to fix?


CAUSE: Machine memory is corrupt and the max out time needs to be increased.

SOLUTION: Perform a Data Clear:
1. Enter the Tech Rep mode.
2. Press System 1.
3. Press Initialization.
4. Press Data Clear.
Also browse to the NIC, enter Admin mode and set the connection timeout for E-mail to 300 seconds.

I am receiving an error when scanning, the error has no number and says to check the log. When I go online and check the log all it says is that the scan job failed.


From the panel, check the job log.
select the job that failed and then the "DETAILS" button will become active and present a more detailed report.

I seem to have a problem scanning on the KM C351. When scanning a multiple page document I recieve 1 .pdf file per page. This happens whether or not Seperate Scan is selected. Right now the scan are sent...


the file type is set to single page
1.press the scan button on the control panel
2.select scan setting.
3.select file type.
4.select multi page to have the entire scan to be sent as a single file.
if you are sending jpegs they can only be sent as single page files on this machine. only pdf's and tiffs can be sent as multi page files

From here make selections until you find the one you want.

or....

Use your Web Browser to log into the device by entering the copier IP Address. From here you can create one-touches as well, and is easier.

Bizhub c350 will not scan to hdd

Weird scan problem with Konica Minolta Bizhub C351


It sounds like you have setup a fax forward box.

You need to set up a one touch, scan to SMB.

this can be easily done via your web browser by typing in the IP address of the MFP and set it from there.

You need the IP address of the laptop and is best to put the shared folder in the main drive (C).
Then for the file path you just need to enter the name of the shared folder EXACTLY as it is on the lap top.
You also MUST enter the ID a password to give it access.

For a scanning problem


what method are you using to scan? SMB, FTP, TWAIN, or scan to HDD and retrieve from computer. Trying to gather informations sounds like it is trying to access something like an LDAP or remote settings/server.
