To speed up your pc then install a trial version of ccleaner from this link https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download and if u feel it is useful then simply buy it......
Also deleting temporary files is also good practice to keep your pc speedy and do one thing uninstall very old software's for speeding up.
To find temporary files Go to Run enter %temp% as it is and select all files and folders them simply delete them.....

May be the processor is to slow for Windows 7 or not enough ram, could also be too many programs starting up when you switch on.

Goto the start menu and in the search box type msconfig and press enter.
When it starts click the Startup tab at the top.
It will list all the programs that start up when you switch on. If you know that some of them don't need to run at startup then untick them and click apply and ok then restart the computer.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Slow wireless connection

I think you can try to upgrade the firmware on the router.

Connect one compute to the router and download the firmware of the router.
Open the setup page and upgrade the firmware.

See How to upgrade firmware on the router

After upgrading the firmware reset the router and reconfigure it manually.
See if that helps you.

I have ASUS x5dc. I have installed windows 7 64 bit. Can i change OS?. My laptop is very slow.

Windows 7 is a very good operating system. But, the laptop may have a slow processor. Try to see if you can upgrade the processor to a core 2 duo or above. Also, try to upgrade or increase the memory to 2 gigabytes or above to 4 gigabytes if possible. The computer is guaranteed to speed up with memory and processor upgrades. Also, try to upgrade the hard disk drive to a SSD or Solid State Drive and you will see awesome speed.

DSL downloads are very slow

Your computer is fairly old and you also probably have a slow internet provider. You will either need to contact Juno and see if they have a faster service available or you will need to upgrade your computer. In either case, a computer upgrade would be very helpful.

Slow laptop, canot upgrade

It cannot be upgraded farther by hardware. You should be able to run xp there. Any lower requirement linux distro is also fine if you like.

Laptops are now-a-days not too costly. May also think about a new one.

Notebook processor too slow, Need upgrade

As far as laptops go, there is not much room for upgrades as far as CPUs go, you can try contacting Compaq to see if they have an upgrade for the processor but that is a long shot.

The other thing you can do it can your local Computer Repair / Maintenance store and see if they do upgrades for laptops.

Upgrading HP Pavilion 764n RAM and Video Card

THe best performance would be achieved by upgrading this PC to the maximum allowed. If you are not sure the max, go to www.crucial.com and enter in your model. The video card is not as important. If the hard drive is slow or the performance is still slow after a memory upgrade, you might want to reformat and reinstall Windows.
