Question about DCS RGS-366 Professional Gas Kitchen Range
One burner spark is weak, 1 faint spark per 10 clicks, and burner will not light. All other burners spark fine. I have fastidiously cleaned from the top with no success. Range about 6yrs old. My question: How do I replace the ignitor? After removing the thin nut and simmer ring can I unthread the venturi with a wrench? It does not yield to gentle pressure. In the parts diagram it looks like there may be a nut (#210468) underneath? Anyone have a service manual for this range? Thanks

They probably cleaned the stove and in replacing the parts of the burner switched the rings on top of the burner. This happened to me. While they look alike, the round rings, not the flat disks, have to be on the right burner in order for the electron spark to ignite the gas. Good luck.

This happens to mine if there is anything on any of the burners, such as food residue or moisture. Check all the burners to see that nothing is touching the burner area where the gas jets are. Even a little water can make this happen.

SOURCE: Two burners on the range
First, try the steps below;
1. Remove the burner cap from the burner base and clean
according to "General Cleaning" section.
2. Clean the gas tube opening with a damp cloth.
3. Clean clogged burner ports with a straight pin as shown. Do
not enlarge or distort the port. Do not use a wooden
toothpick. If the burner needs to be adjusted, contact a
trained repair specialist.
4. Replace the burner cap, making sure the alignment pins are
properly aligned with the burner cap.
5. Turn on the burner. If the burner does not light, check cap aligment.
Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and
the oven and cooktop are cool. Do not use oven cleaners, bleach
or rust removers.
If the above doesn't work please let me know so that I may direct you further.

SOURCE: NEED TO REMOVE RANGE TOP. THE LARGEST BURNER NUT HOLDING THE VENTURI IS STUCK. OTHER THREE BURNERS REMOVED OK. DO I HAVE TO SPLIT THE VENTURI NUT TO REMOVE RANGE TOP? I NEED TO GET INSIDE RANGE UNIT.
Yes keep playing with it and BOOOOM! Call in a professional. This is the law with gas appliances.
And turn off the CAPS lock. We heard you the first time :-)
