Question about Vacuums
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC07. Please note, the brushbar will not rotate when the machine is standing in the upright position, or if you have the brush control set to 'Hard Floors'. If the brush control is set to 'Carpets', and you have the machine reclined into the vacuuming position, the brushbar should rotate. If it does not, please get in touch with us directly so we can provide further assistance - you can call us free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).
We'll look forward to helping you resolve this.

SOURCE: DC07 beater bar does not move
this is a common problem it moves on air flow, the air flow may be good but there is stuff wrapped around the ends of the beater bar, disassemble bottom of the unit and clean real good. it comes apart real easy :)

Testimonial: "thanks for the help...appreciated very much"
SOURCE: Worn Dyson beater bar bristles
Worn bristles are a fact of life for all vacuums with a brush roll. Where I work, we're changing them all the time! I don't think anyone has yet invented perpetual bristles. Sorry, but you'll have to fit a new one.
