How to replace motor mounts on 2003 hyundai sonata

You really need the car on a lift or tall jack stands to do this. You will need a full set of hand tools, a good hydraulic floor jack, a set of Jack stands (AKA Safety Stands) and a 1.5 Ton bottle jack. Raise the front of the car as high as possible and unbolt the old mounts from the engine and engine cradle, then Carefully using the bottle jack (put a piece of wood on the plunger of the jack to avoid damage to the oil pan) raise the engine off the mounts and remove them, and reverse install new mounts, time about 2-3 hours to do the repair.

It lifted the car weight fine but it would eventually drop back down. what i did was drain the hydrolic oil and replaced for a new one but now it doesnt lift at all.

Sounds like you're having issues with a hydraulic jack. There are a few things that could be causing this issue:

1) The seals in the hydraulic cylinder are beginning to fail, allowing fluid to leak out of the pressurized cylinder and back into the reservoir
2) The valve is failing, leading to a similar issue stated above.

That stated, DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE JACK until you have resolved the issue--the high pressure system could fail very violently.

My hydraulic lift for my 149 cub cadet will not lift when the snow plow is attached.

Try checking the fluid, it may be low. Or the seals in the cylinders may be leaking and bypassing so you can't build up pressure.

How to overhaul/ repair a hydraulic floor jack?

Sounds like a bad seal on that plunger that pumps up and down. That plunger should unscrew and then it's pilled out , there should be an O ring. That is where it probably is leaking. You probably need to top off oil. You can jack oil in an auto store or Lowes, etc.

What is a jack lift?

"A jack lift is a mechanical device used as a lifting device to lift heavy loads or apply great forces. Jacks employ a screw thread or hydraulic cylinder to apply very high linear forces.
A mechanical jack is a device which lifts heavy equipment. The most common form is a car jack, floor jack or garage jack which lifts vehicles so that maintenance can be performed.
More powerful jacks use hydraulic power to provide more lift over greater distances. Mechanical jacks are usually rated for a maximum lifting capacity (for example, 1.5 tons or 3 tons)." (Wikipedia)

Where Do I Fill Oil Into My Car Jack?

Usually only oil has to be added if the jack will not pump up, not down. They go down either by added retraction springs or by the weight of what they were lifting.
Anyway, look for a small rubber plug about 1/2" in diameter on the hydraulic unit, lay the unit on it's side so when the rubber plug is removed the oil won't run out. Once you remove the plug, fill it up with hydraulic jack oil from an auto parts store. Put the plug back in, you may have to work the jack to purge air bubbles, by pumping it up and down a few times.

How to replace a front motor mount on a 1993 Mercury Sable 3.0 V6

To change the right front motor mount on a mercury sable. 1. you will need a jack and 22mm and a 5/8 socket.
2. you want to place the jack under the catalyst converter or somewhere on the motor that will lift the motor separatly from the crossbar that the front mount is attached to.
3. apply a little lift to the jack raising the car(3 or 4 hydraulics jack lifts).
4. using the 22 mm socket wrench take the bottom nut off the mount which is located under the right side of the crossbar.
5. using the 5/8 socket remove the top bolt that attaches the mount to the motor.
6. raise the jack 2 or 3 more times( giving you more room to move the old mount out).
7 . remove the old mount paying close attention to the way it is positioned, being sure not to put the new mount in wrong.
8. apply the new mount.
9. apply the top bolt and tighten .
10. lower the jack until the mount is seated correctly onto crossbar.
11. apply bottom nut and tighten.
12. glad i could help!
