Question about HHP IT3800 Handheld

Cannot scan recently I've installed my own application software. But somehow I didn't install any driver or software for this hardware. I'm not sure do I need any software to be installed in order to enable the scanning. Please help me as I'm struggling on.

Im not sure which software you are reffering to
if you want to check the drivers

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices

if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver


if you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver

if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

or you might have to download one

Hi Jack, thanks for contacting me to help you. Well, I have few questions since you didn't specify anything in detail; What is the operating system installed on your computer? e.g. Windows xp or Windows vista or Windows 7.... What antivirus program is installed on your computer?
Still have questions, but let's proceed anyway. I don't think this it will be a good idea to set up remote connection and most of all, it looks like we are in different time zones (I am in India).
Please follow the instructions given below:
Hardware; For hardware issues, please try to install another mouse on the same system and check whether the same problem persists or not.
If your mouse has a driver, please uninstall and reinstall it.
I would also suggest you to place the mouse on different mouse pads, never place on table or on a plastic type surface. This is to verify that there's no hardware issues.
Software/Virus;It would be a pleasure if you could let me know when and how it happened. In most cases, it hardware issue, but in rare cases, viruses cause this problem. Make sure to scan your computer using different types of antiviruses. But remember not to install multiple antivirus programs at a time. If you've finished scanning with Avira and the problem persists, then uninstall it and then again download and install Avast. Download Links are given below. Malwarebytes is also a recommended program for the same problem. I hope you can still install programs or run .exe files.
I would suggest you to scan your whole drives/computer in Safe Mode. With Avast you can even Scan in Boot Mode means during startup...

Hello, I suppose you used the factory software suite. For my Pinnacle card it didn't work. Besides the obvious remove/uninstall reboot and try again method I recommend you try a third party application such as Honestech TV Plus Gold. It has a free trial so it is a good way to check whether it is a software problem or other installation issue.

1. Download the latest Chicony (or Suyin) driver for Windows 7. Check here: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Camera&p=3&os=)
2. Extract contents to desktop.
3. Click the ORB button. right-click on Computer and select Properties.
4. Select Device Manager.
5. Click on Imaging Devices to show the name of the webcam.
6. Right-click on the name of the webcam and select Properties.
7. Go to the Driver tab. click on Update Driver. a new window should pop-up.
8. Click 'Browse my computer for driver software'. select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'.
9. On the next window, it'll give you the current driver. click 'Have Disk'. click Browse. Browse to the desktop and select lastest driver that you've downloaded. it'll be then added to the list of drivers. select the new driver and click Next. Just follow the prompts so that it'll install the new driver.

If still this does not work, try this:
Re-install the camera virtual camera using your ASUS hardware disc and follow this step.

1.Insert ASUS hardware disc and "open"
2.Click "explorer"
3.Click "software"
4.Click "camera", then choose and click chicony folder
5.Open the folder APPLICATION/installer, and re-install the ASUS virtual camera.

Once you already installed the driver, go to start menu click or type ASUS lifeframe then open it.

Even if you remove a virus, most of the cases, the damage cannot be repaired. Remove the sound driver and install it once again. If that doesn't work, you should consider reinstalling the OS.

You didn't told us, what is the most recent updates you've done, i.e.: installing driver or software, or something like this.

Choose 'Last Known Good Configuration', if not worked, choose 'safe mode'

The first step I would try in troubleshooting is to download the most recent drivers for this device from the Logitech Website (I'm including the link below, you'll just need to select the appropriate Operating System). There appears to be two options - the Smart Installer and the Full Installer.The Full Installer appears to be considerably larger - but may provide the best results.

If the newest driver doesn't work feel free to reply to this solution and I'll see what else I can do to help.

The audio doesn't work when i play on nero, gomplayer, etc


If you only can't hear the audio when using certain media playback software , first of course make sure that your sound card shows up in the device manager , then go to the control panel & select "sound / voice" option , open the audio mixer & make sure that it didn't somehow get set to mute .

The next step would be to download the latest drivers for your sound card from the manufactures website , install & reboot .

Finally download the latest version of Klite Codec Pack Full

Install the codec pack & reboot your pc , you should be set to watch & hear nearly every format of video or audio file .
