Make sure the TV is set to channel 3 if that is what the output channel is set to on your converter box. You can also test the TV by hooking up a good VCR to the TV and play back a good tape on the channel that VCR is set to output on. Now the important thing to remember if the setup is correct is that with Digital signals, you either have it or you don't. If the digital signal is too weak, it will show up as "no signal" and you may have to invest in a good outdoor antenna, rotor and good antenna amplifer to get a viewable picture, especially if the station you are trying to receive is over 50 miles away. Hope this helps, your TV is probably not at fault.

Not if you have Cable TV or Satellite TV. The converter is only needed to receive broadcast TV from an antenna. The signal from the Dish box will be fine as that is the tuner.
