Question about Computers & Internet
Laptop is runing normaly in bettery power. but it is freez when adptor is insert
Inserting AC adaptor while computer is working on battery power, may indicate that an arcing occurred and cpu got wrong data to stop sequential operation. You may have to turn on AC adaptor, after it has been inserted into your laptop while using battery power.

SOURCE: Toshiba A200 1vo. works on
You say you bought a new adapter--was is a Toshiba adapter? Was it a "generic" one?
You have to be careful, because some adapters have different polarity and could damage the computer.
If you are sure the adapter is OK and is putting out the correct voltage (~18 v.) then disconnect the battery and try running the computer without the battery just using the adapter.
I don't think this is a BIOS problem. The operating system should not affect the function of the adapter. Most likely you have a motherboard problem if all else is working.
