I've tried to download a manual for this camera to give you the most accurate answer possible, however after a few minutes of frustration I'm going to answer this sort of "off the top of my head so to speak" My first impression is that the 4GB memory card my be beyond your cameras capabilities but first try this. Have you checked the memory card to make sure it's not locked I'll include a diagram check the small circle for the correct orientation the arrow shows the lock position. Diagram
Once you have made sure the card is unlocked install the memory card and then format the card. Formatting "programs and new card to work with the camera it has been installed into. Also Formatting should be done after each download of pictures to the computer hard drive. In this case formatting cleanse the old pictures off and programs the card once again to give optimum performance between the camera and memory card. If this still doesn't work then I suspect the 4GB card is to large for the camera "firmware and you will need to update your camera on the Samsung web site to a newer version of firmware. Sounds complicated but heck i did it so it's not all that technical. Also the memory card you are replacing may only need to be formatted to begin to work properly again (that's if you were having problems)
Hi, Go into menu and try to format memory card. Most cameras can just use card right from package without format.Formatting will delete all pics if any available. This is the only solution for your problem. This is the procedure,In playback mode on the camera (green arrow on selector switch - or middle option if the legend has worn off) press menu/ok -> select format -> menu/ok ->menu/ok to confirm Any pictures on the card will be lost. Thank you !!
go to the menu and push (format memory card) then a a warning will come up that says (Warning Formating card will erase all that is on the care) push OK and it should format in might take some time !!Good Luck!!:)
I'm sorry but it is hard to understand your problem. Did you try to remove the card and see if there is any dirt or something blocking the contacts? Also if the camera will not format the card try pluging the camera into your PC and right click on the icon labled "Removable Disk (E:)" (the "E" may be a different letter) and the click on the Format... option that appears (about halfway down the list that pops up) and click start and click "OK" on the warning that pops up.
**AS THE WARNING STATES YOU WILL LOSE ALL SAVED DATA ON YOUR CARD BY FORMATING IT**
To copy pictures from memory to your memory card turn your camera on and press the button above the menu button. This will start showing the pictures already on your memory card. Next, press menu and the down arrow. This down arrow is located on the round button with the "OK" in the center. Your choices should be DELETE, SLIDE SHOW, PROTECT, QUALITY CHANGE, RESIZE, and the one that you want,COPY TO CARD. Press OK and the camera will copy pictures from internal memory to the memory card. This information is on page EN-62 and EN-63. I know that this works because I was testing the information as I was typing it!
