Question about NorStar Meridian M7310 Phone

Setting up memory buttons

I just started working for this company and I am not that familiar with this system, but it seems to me that you could program memory buttons for each employee and if you can does this mean they will have a mail box on this phone system?

No, you are asking how to program a user speed dial button. That is just a speed dial button, nothing more.
TO don this, and assuming you have an MICS or a CICS:
Press feature *
press the button you want to program
press the extension number of the user you want to see.
done

How do I get a dial tone.can answer the phone.just cannot dial out

I am NOT familiar with YOUR make and model of phone, BUT.... I've had several cordless phone systems over many years, and have had the same problem that you describe. First, here is some background info for you:

The telephone company systems USUALLY have two different dialing systems:
  1. The "old" ROTARY DIALS worked by MECHANICALLY sending out different numbers of electrical pulses which the MECHANICAL "receivers" at the phone company "Central Office" buildings would read and thus connect you to the dialed number.
  2. Some years ago, a "new" dialing system was initiated. That system was called Dual-Tone-Multi-Frequency [or for short, DTMF].
DTMF uses BUTTON KEYS which put out a different electronically generated TONE [related to] for each different NUMBER key pushed, and THAT series of tones told/tells the phone company Central Office receiver computer the number to which you wanted to be connected.

Around the world over the years, most phone companies have, and still use one of these two dialing systems, AND...

Most cordless phone manufacturers designed their phones to work WITH EITHER system, BUT....

The customer IS REQUIRED to "SELECT" which system his phone company uses, while the customer is "SETTING UP" his/her new cordless phone.

THAT process IS INCLUDED in ALL cordless phone set-up instruction packages I've ever seen!!!!!!

Either you need to carefully read and study YOUR installation-set-up instructions and then PROPERLY set your phone's dialing system [to PULSE or DTMF], OR GET SOMEONE who KNOWS WHAT he, or she is doing to do it for you.

I, and I think no one else is able to guide you via back and forth messaging on this site. At least I know I can't because I'm not acquainted with your cordless phone, AND I don't have an instruction/set-up manual to consult!!!!!

Track down your manual, OR search for a replacement manual; the dialer system selection process is NOT DIFFICULT IF you have the manual!!!!!!!

I am trying to figure out how to set up the voice mail. i see there is a button for 'message' but cannot figure it out. i have downloaded the manual, but there seems to be nothing in it. please...

The KX-7730 isn't an answering machine. It interfaces to the voicemail system provided by your telephone company or company phone network to tell you that you have messages waiting. To access those messages or to set your own greeting, you'll have to contact your phone company or network administrator for instructions.

How do you set up voicemail on the Panasonic KX-T7636 system?

1. Raise the handset on any telephone in the Panasonic Telephone system.
2. Press the "INTERCOM" button and dial 165.
3. When answered by the Auto Attendant, dial # XXXXX * 9 9 8.
(Pound Six Star Nine Nine Eight)
4. Enter the Administrator Password. Followed by a #. (Pound) If required.
5. Dial 5 to "Modify Message"
6. Dial 1 to "To Change The Company Greeting"
7. Enter the Company Greeting Number from 1 to 32.

If you are not sure of which Company Greeting Number to change, then start with 1.
The Panasonic Voice Mail system will actually play the greeting to you.
Then you can determine if it is the correct one you want to change.
If it isn't, you can dial 2 and move on to next greeting and so on.

If you select a greeting number where there is no greeting recorded,
the Panasonic Voice Mail system will prompt you to record one at that time.
You may dial *1 (STAR ONE) to skip recording and return to Step 7.

8. When you have found the Company Greeting you want to re-record
follow the system prompts to record and save your new greeting.

Note:
You can change the Company Greetings remotely from anywhere.
1. Call the main number of your business.
2. When answered go to Step 3 and follow the same procedures.
3. When completed....Hang up....

How do I unlock my220x mobile phone for free

Someone told you that because that is a great and even plausable answer.

Here is the deal. There are at least two major kinds of systems in the world that I am familiar with. Their names are not important. What is important is to understand there are at least two. Lets say two for simplicity. I don't know where you are located and that is not important to the discussion. You have probably heard of T-Mobil, AT&T and Verizon. We will use these companies for our chat. The system that T-Mobil and AT&T use is different from the system Verizon uses. In fact, I believe the entire world uses the system T-Mobil and AT&T uses while Verizon (and probably a couple other companies) use the other system.

All the companies want to keep their customers. They want to attract New customers. They do this by offering specialty phones (the Verizon Droid is an example) Phones built for the Verizon Network will not work on other networks because the system is different. Think AM radio and FM radio, though cell phones do not run on AM and FM.

On the ohter side of the street T-Mobil and AT&T share a method but they want to keep their own customers so they put special locking codes into the phone so that a phone built for AT&T will not work on the T-Mobil system unless you can get a unlock key. Guess who controls the keys? There are some codes floating around that WWW ...

Here is the deal, at the end of the day, when mom wants to make a call, you have to have a service provider. For mom's telephone to work, some company has to send her a signal, a dial tone. For the best results, you shuld have a telephone that is manufactured to run on that company's system ... hardware and software we are talking about. All telephones, even those with no provider, will dial 911 in the USA and get a result. I don't think this is what you had in mind when this all started.

Here is what you should do. Contact your carrier. Tell them what you have and ask them if it can be made to work with their system. If you get grief there, speak with a supervisor. They will of course want to sell you a telephone. Resist at first but be prepared to purchase a new phone.

I hope I have answered your question.

My uniden powermax 5.8 ghz set itself to Do Not Disturb.

The do not disturb feature (DND) allows you to mute the ringer, the base, and any registered handsets at the same time. The phone must be in standby mode. Press and hold do not disturb on the base. You will hear a confirmation tone, and the DND LED illuminates. To cancel the DND feature, press do not disturb again. You can also mute the ringer tone while the phone is ringing by pressing do not disturb on the base.
Activating the DND while the answering system is off will turn the answering system on automatically. The answering system setting will reset to the original setting when you cancel the DND.
If you press answer on/off when the DND and the answering system is on, both of the DND and the answering system will turn off.
To mute the ringer tone temporarily for each handset or the base, when the phone is ringing, press the MUTE soft key on the handset or the base. The ringer tone will return to the previous setting starting with the next incoming call.

Can't reset voicemail on line extension 139

If the voicemail already has a mailbox for 139 you just might have to change the greeting. If it has to be set up or if there is a password, you have to go into admin mailbox 999 (which might have a password) to delete password first, then go into mb139 and set up a greeting. Would need to know the model # of vm

You have to change the rings from the voice mail server. If you don't know your way around the server, its best to get a local NEC tech although it is fairly simple to navigate. Depends on your skill. Typical default password for the server is NEC

If you have a programming manual you can change the settings on your own. If not, you will need to contact the installer or a local interconnect company that services Samsung. It seems as though the memory switch inside the ksu is turned off. If that's the case, it needs to be turned on and if not, you either have problem with the ksu or the power outage was a brownout. Sometimes a very short loss of power can cause corruptions in memory, however I seriously doubt it in this case. Your system is acting as though it's memory has been set to default.

Good Luck,

In System Timers change the System Forward Initiate timer. Be cautious that this is a system wide timer and will affect all users. If you want it done just on one phone it gets a little bit more complicated but it is still possible.
