I neglected to say that the jam is in the auto doc feed on top of machine. manual says to pull off the front oanel to gain access. it feels as if it will break if we do. is there any other way to gain access to the top roller area wherehalf page of unseen paper is still wedged?

    thx

???? where is it????
Assuming it's in the paper pick-up,remove trays and see if youcan get it there, also look in the back of the machine most of them have a section that comes out, there should be a big knob that you turn and unlocks the door, remove it and you can see the big wheels and hopefully get it from there.

If you've torn the paper and only half is left inside the machine then,

1-there should be a door on the Doc feeder that you can open, this is probably what they are referring to, grab a hold of the plastic that is near the rollers and lift up.

2- lift the doc feeder up and look in the front and up this is where the document is supposed to pass trough to make the copy and it feeds back in to deliver it on th the top.

Let me explain the process a little more. When you put the paper in the doc to make a copy it actually makes it on the SMALL strip of glass not on the big one. so it passes trough and only a 3/4 inch is read and copied.

while if you put in on hte glass is scans the whole paper.

    Hope this helps, good luck!

Cannon pixma mx922 paper jam

I had a very bad jam (paper tore...you know the drill...see upper panel). My wife and I used a chopstick and hemostats to gently, gently lift the rollers and ease the paper out (lower panel...most of the paper has been pulled out). The stick should be applied to the support between the rollers. You have to go from roller-pair to roller-pair, easing the paper out without ripping it.

My Dell MFP 1815dn has a paper Jam 2. I removed the toner cartridge and pulled the paper out, before I realized that I needed to open the back. I believe I thought I got the paper out, but the printer is...

After a paper jam occurs in the rear cover of a Dell Laser Multi-Function Printer 1815N, the printer will not resume when the jammed paper is removed. This is the normal behavior of the printer as there is no sensor on the rear cover of this printer.

To open the back cover and remove any stuck paper, perform the following steps:
  1. Open and close the front cover.
The jammed paper may automatically exit the printer. If the paper does not exit, go to the next step.
  2. Gently pull the paper out of the output tray.
  3. If you cannot see the paper in the output tray or the paper does not move when pulled, open the rear cover.
  4. Skip to step 9. If you do not see the paper, go to the next step.If you see the jammed paper, push the two blue pressure levers up and remove the paper.
  5. Release the blue strap, the rear cover stopper, and fully open the rear cover.
  6. Unfold the duplex guide fully.
  7. While pushing the fuser lever to the right, open the fuser door. NOTICE: Make sure to unfold the duplex guide before opening the fuser door, or the fuser door may be damaged.
  8. Pull the jammed paper out.
  9. Return the levers, fuser door, rear cover stopper, and duplex guide to their original position.
  10. Close the rear cover.
  11. Open and close the front cover.
    Printing automatically resumes.

How do I fix a paper jam cef for epson aculaser cxn11nf?

Diagram of doors should be above control panel of printer.

Lift ADF/Scanner up. Open door "C" just below it. Lift orange photoconductor lever up to release photoconductor. Lift photo conductor up towards you. Inspect for jammed paper and remove if necessary. Replace photoconductor, close lever and door "C".

Open door "E" on rear of printer and look for jammed paper and remove. Close door "E".

Last place to look is in paper tray. Take stack of paper out and look for paper jam. Removed as needed.

These are the three places i have had jams and you will only find the jam in one of them. Most likely it will be in back in Door E

PAPER JAM [LOCATION] Media is jammed at the specified location (and possibly at other locations). If the message persists after all jams have been cleared, a sensor or sensor lever might be stuck or broken. For all jam messages, do the following: 1. Remove jammed print media from the specified location. Check the entire paper path for other pieces of media in the path. 2. Open and close the top cover to clear the message. 3. Check sensors and flags in the paper path for proper operation.

Error 13-jam paper HP Laser 4+

HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus and 4m Plus Series Printers - False Error Message 13 PAPER JAM ISSUE: After clearing all jammed paper from the HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus, or 4m Plus series printer, the display still reads 13 Paper Jam . Even after cycling the power off and then back on, the error remains. SOLUTION: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Hope it will help you !
